Anyone want to help my rearrange my living room?
Comments (29)Hello Segbrown of the Awesome Kitchen. Your kitchen contains the spirit of one of my unrealized kitchens! I have one of your same backsplash tiles, a sample, which I meant to use but the years crept by and that kitchen didn't happen. Back to your seating area. I was admiring your ottoman/table only to see it disappear in your final arrangement. As I am thinking about replacing my coffee table with such a foot-ready rest, I have to ask why you got rid of yours? Surely the feet in your house want a rest when tv watching? I am in the market for swivel/s. What brand/model are yours? Are you happy with them? Much obliged if you come back to comment. I've enjoyed every bit of your house that you've shared....See MoreLiving Room Rearrange
Comments (7)You know what? I think I can see where you're going with the decor. I like your sofa. You have a nice big TV and, I think, a nice place to set it. I like your rug and pouf, too. I can definitely see where you're going, and I like what you have so far. I would start by moving the mirror into the bathroom behind a door, since there's nothing special for it to reflect (at least right now). (What is that thing in front of the mirror? Does it belong in your living room?) I have a fiddle-leaf fig that looks like that, so I feel for that situation--perhaps move it outside for now, to see if it recovers. Are you actually using the retro-cool looking phone and record player/records? If not (as I suspect), then box them up and put them under your bed, maybe. I would keep them! But I think you will feel happier and calmer to come home to a less cluttered place, especially in your living room. Purses and handbags should go in the bedroom. I bet you can find an over-the-door organizer for that situation, for bedroom closet. Other than that, I think your purchases are really nice, and complement each other. I bet the couch is really comfortable. The dog is cute, too....See MoreLiving room decor dilemma
Comments (3)Try putting TV on angle in the right corner. Then put sofa on angle facing TV. The bag seat can fit under window. I would also consider moving the white table on other wall (where ironing board is now.). You need a cozy rug and a nice tall plant. Maybe some art. Not much wall space so art will have to be scaled properly. Nice space, but tricky to use with limited wall space....See MoreRearranging the living room.
Comments (1)Very hard to tell the size/dimenstions of your room from the one photo so not sure that any of these suggestions will "fit". Given what I can see try this... Move the piano to the other side of the fireplace. Move the bench/baskets under the window (remove the piece above it ... place hooks on the wall nearer the door if you need hanging space). Move the tv where the piano used to be - place it on a swivel so you can angle it to watch. Make an "L" with your sofas, one piece facing the windows and one facing the fireplace....See Moreacosta1954
