I've read several posts similar to this one and I don't understand what all the fuss is about. If I wanted to reply to a Craigslist email, I could do it in about 6 seconds with a few mouse clicks and not have to make any changes to the browser at all, nor would I need to install any type of a plug-in that might not be supported the next time the browser gets updated. What could be easier? Sometimes the problems encountered by users wanting to make everything work with one click are better solved by using what is already available to you. It's not that hard, and you just might learn something useful along the way.

grandms that link there on the avast site links to the cnet download page if you put your cursor over the download button you can see at the bottom of the screen the cnet address. I bet what is happening when you click on the big download now arrow on that cnet download page, it sends you to another page where the actual download file pops up in a pop up box my guess is you have the pop up blocked and are not seeing it, you firefox or IE should show you a bar at the top saying you need to click there to allow the box. Since you are not seeing that pop up all you are seeing is the link for the pay version. Is your download blocked? if you have that blocked then you probably will not get the one from mikies link either. another site you can try from is major geeks just click on one of the download locations Avast! I'm looking at some things on Craigslist but when I click on the sellers link to send them an email, Outlook opens. Jane, Whenever I am on a website where I click on their link to send them an email, my outlook express always opens with their addy after the To: So what I do is: I highlight THEIR address, click copy, and paste it after To: in my separate g-mail web account to write to them from there. I never use my OE to respond to any website when OE pops up. OR------If you have like I do, (my g-mails accessed in my OE) while in Outlook express, I leave as is and just change the OE address of mine to my webmail address as if I am writing from g-mail. alisande, You should find out what is wrong with ie at some point.
