I remember the fabric painting, don't remember what it was called. I painted a table runner, I suppose it was to mimic embroidery. The hobby was short-lived in our area.

Puffy Paint :)

There's a cool project we did in school with puffy paint. You get a piece of that thin cardboard/poster board type stuff and draw a picture on it with the puffy paint, let it dry, then put foil over the whole piece. Then you use your fingers to smooth down the foil to where the picture is. Then you paint the foil with india ink. After it's dry you use a pencil eraser or your finer to go along the india ink where the puffy paint is. It makes really neat pictures. :)

Yes, liquid embroidery.

Tri Chem...it came in a tin. I just googled liquid embroidery.

I did puffy paint and liquid embroidery years ago.

Hareball, I think that's just brilliant...

Unfortunately I didn't make that one. But mine was pretty neat too :D

Yes, liquid embroidery. My jeans were very colourful.

My Mom made my daughter a Tooth Fairy pillow with those paints, it had a pocket for the tooth. DD still has it.

My mother always painted her tea towels with these paints. I loved doing it also.

I made a Christmas tablecloth with the liquid embroidery. Haven't thought about that in years!

there was one called Artex too. They even had home parties to sell it.

It was called "Hobbytex" here. I remember my daughter's babysitter was really into it.

Yes, I used to have those too. I like the embroidery with needle and thread better. I do that when I find time.

I think it was called Artex. My mother did a LOT of fabric painting back in the day. I think she collected every colour tube and had a special case to hold them all in.
