I don't like scary movies. I'll stick to "Its the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!" and Garfield Halloween Special.

I loved The Ghost & Mr. Chicken. I haven't seen it since I was a kid. I am going to have to download it. My current all time favorite is Hocus Pocus.

I've had a sufficient amount of real-life scary to last a lifetime, so don't enjoy horror movies or fright-nights at the amusement parks. The other Halloween stuff has been around for so long, I have no desire to watch for the umpteenth time. My husband, on the other hand, will happily watch the same seasonal movies every year.

"Hocus Pocus" is on TV right now. never watched it until just a few years ago... a classic.

a little clarification... scary does not = Halloween. EX: "Halloween" (first one only) IS a Halloween film, but "Friday the 13th" (again, 1st one only) is just a slasher flick.

Halloween (the original). I watch it every year on halloween and it just scares the crap out of me!

Not exactly a "Halloween" movie but I love the movie 40 Days of Night. It's a vampire movie. Definitely not your sparkle in the sunlight, Twilight vampires.

WOW talk about back in the day!! Don Knots was hilarious!! It's the Great Pumpkin... is our only Halloween show. My students really really enjoy being startled/scared...not my thing. VIVA la Differance!!

I grew up with an much older brother and a mother who loved horror movies. I was taken from a young age to see all the crazy horror flicks in the late 50's and early 60's. Before parent movie ratings and my mother thought the movies were hilarious so I never really knew to be scared.

Not specific to Halloween but my parents watched Twilight Zone and Alfred Hitchcock in the 60's. Outer Limits too. The one with the spiders gave me nightmares. I still watch Twilight zone on Sci-Fi sometimes, bc it is usually more of a moral message than scary murders. I just watched again Johnny Depp in Dark Shadows and then Sleepy Hollow. Tim Burton movies are always well done. I used to watch the Dark Shadows soap opera as a kid. Like some of you I prefer some humor with the spookiness, like Young Frankenstein and Little Shop of Horrors. And Buffy the Vampire Slayer never ceases to amuse me.

I'll stick with the Charlie Brown movies, thank you!
