Paint Design Dilemma

Need help with picking a paint color

Need help picking a paint color for a large room with lots of windows but not a lot of natural light. The flooring is natural color hardwood and the furniture is dark brown leather couches. I have picked up a lot of samples but none seems right for the space.

Shaker beige - looked too yellow/orange

Bleeker beige - looked blah

Edge comb grey - looks too dark/muddy

Manchester tan even looked dark which is odd since I had it in my last house and felt it was a light color

Revere pewter - looks too muddy

Any suggestions on a color to try that will help lighten the room not look muddy or yellow? Was looking at beige/tans but open to other ideas?

I did BM Grant Beige throughout the living areas of my home because it was the most neutral looking beige I could find for my southern exposure, open living/dining/kitchen. Went with a neutral tone because I had to bring together the previous homeowners reclaimed, warm pine floors and cool toned kitchen (until we could change one or the other) and it goes with every color I've brought in. Has a very slight greenish cast with overhead lighting in the evening (warmish LED bulbs), but looks far better to me than any of the yellow toned ones did and looks great with lamps/accent lighting. It's easier for me to work with as far as matching curtains and furniture.

I also like the suggestion of SW Rainwashed above. I did that (not cut...it's 100%) in my bathrooms and love it. I hate "cold" colors, but this one is very easy on the eyes and I'm glad I did it.

Why beige with all the browns already going on. I love Rainwashed SW even cut 25% it is still IMO a nicer choice than beige and it is very neutral.

Thanks! I'm starting to look at other colors since non the the beiges have worked out. What does cutting it too 25% due to the overall color?

I had an orangey-peachy house in Baton Rouge, LA and I painted the back porch and door an opposite color on the color wheel - a beachy-seafoamy-light turquoise green. I loved it, but colorful houses are "done" there and this was 20 years ago. If any of your darker bricks go toward the red/maroon spectrum, a cranberry or maroon color could work well for a front door. You might have to make your pictures "public" in order for us to see them.

Who is painting the cabinets becuase IMO this needs to be done by a cabinet finisher in s a speray booth in the proper paint for cabinets or all you will get is a bunch of chips very quickly. I will say the wrong choice for the FP facing but a bit late now so I would probably do white cabinets like the trim and door we see and if you want the darker island then do just that . What are you planning for counters a and before choosing any colors make sure all the lighting is LED 4000K to get true color for all the choices.

Chantilly Lace may be B.M. whitest white. With the high LRV, there is barely any undertone. I just finished a Master Suite for client and chose Chantilly Lace, in a semi-gloss finish, and I was thrilled with it. I also did the ceiling the same, but in flat finish. Lovely.

I would say that it's more bright and airy than beachy (definitely more like fresh rain than beach glass). Neither one of my bathrooms have windows, though, so definitely get a sample and see what it looks like in your lighting.

I just used SW wool skein in my north facing DR. The chip is a beige, but on my walls it has a green cast; I love it.
