Thanks! My floors are English Chestnut on white oak. Cabinets are SW Creamy White, I believe, and the walls are BM Revere Pewter. My kitchen windows face west so the sun shines through in the evenings and a glare has not been an issue yet. I have 9 recessed lights and 3 pendants in my kitchen. Also, my backsplash is polished. I was worried about glare on that, but I haven't noticed it being a problem at all. My granite yard guy said they had no options about polishing or honing--that all of their slabs came to them as is--meaning either honed or polished--they didn't do that process at the granite yard. Congrats on your new home purchase! Once the terracotta walls are primed and not reflecting you will be able to really pick a nice color to compliment. Your cream cabinets have a lot of red undertones which can read a little on the pink side. The wood on the island and floor also have peachy or orangey tone. So I would avoid like the plague anything with a yellow, green, or blue undertone as that will just make the pink/peach stand out even more. Since the crown molding and trim looks a very bright blue based white, I think you definitely should paint them a neutral white. I liked the SW pure white, but I'd wait until you pick the main wall color. Whatever brand you look at just look for colors that say they are a neutral. I have been searching myself for a nice neutral wall color all day. It's tough! I was at SW, and liked either Repose gray or Agreeable gray from them. They really are not a true gray color like I think of "gray". I'm not a gray fan, but I do like a neutral "greige" as they call it. Both of those colors have a brown taupe undertone. I always look at the deepest shade on the color swatch to see what I'm dealing with. If it is really yellow or green khaki or blue I'd rule those ones out. Hope this helps. I'm no expert so take that fwiw! Ha! Oh and if you are drawn to a touch of gray which has purple undertones, or are interested in a richer more deep color you might like weimeraner. But actually I think anything with purples might pop the peach wood. Oh this one will be a challenge, but I know it will be great! Laurie, I too love your inspiration picture. No one I know can afford to renovate their home every 10 years and keep up with the latest trend. I have found the key is to pick out what I will be happy with in 10 years or 20 years or longer and getting what makes me happy. I wish picking the perfect cabinet color was as simple as saying BM Simply White or SW White Duck, but to get just the right white is a bit trickier than that. If you have a sample of your back splash I would take it to the BM store or the SW store and look at all of their whites next to the back splash. Pick out a bunch that are close to the lighter colors in your back splash. Then go outside in the sun and look at them again - eliminate the ones that are not quite right. Sunlight will give you the truest vision of the color. Whites are quite funny and can appear too blue or too green or too yellow or pink next to other colors. If you will be using a satin or gloss finish the cabinets may appear lighter than you expect because light will reflect more from shinier finishes. Keep this in mind when selecting the color samples. Get a pint of your final selection and paint another sample before committing to the color for all the cabinets. After you find 6 ish good candidates order a few samples from https://samplize.com/ or buy a few sample cans and make your own samples. I like using 140 lb water color paper for samples from Michael's. Heavy enough not to curl or warp. Get a pint of your final selection and paint another sample in the same gloss you will be using for the cabinets before committing to the color for all the cabinets. You can always use this paint as a first coat if you decide that it is too light or just a bit off.
