Windows Live Mail rejection
Comments (14)urlee Apparently my default mail is Windstream. Windstream is my ISP and has been for several years. I will go to their web site and try to change that. No, leave that as is. My ISP is my default mail too! When you downloaded WLM, did you have to enter info from your server like incoming pop3, and outgoing smtp? I am guessing that is what makes WLM work as default to my knowledge. because when the Windows Live software was downloaded, what I got was a Hot Mail address Are you sure you downloaded WLM for Win7 and NOT the Hotmail one?. If so, then it looks like your hotmail one went default on you like it did me automatically before....See MoreSecurity needed on WIN7?
Comments (3)You do not show an anti virus program? Surely you have one? Malwarebytes and Superantispyware only run when you set them to do so. Spywareblaster is a TSR (terminate and stay resident) program. Computer security is a personal choice, personally on my Windows 7 computer I only have Microsoft Security Essentials and on my Windows 8 just Windows Defender and I am comfortable. Both use the Windows firewall. Comments (5)Not sure this will help but if you use gmail, here's an example of how to set up your email client (outlook express) using IMAP: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=77659 And here's how to setup gmail with POP for outlook express: http://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=76147 I'm sure hotmail and yahoo also have instructions about this. Here's a general link for hotmail from wiki answers: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/How_do_you_set_up_IMAP_for_hotmail If you want to set up outlook express to access your work server, I think you'd probably have to get the server info from the system admin but I'm not sure.
