I want to replace two brass sconces that are an odd size.

My window seat has 3 windows with two brass wall sconces. I only have 4" to work with. Most sconce back plates are at least 5" wide. I sure would love to replace the brass with either bronze or brushed nickel. The only thing I can think of is to try to paint my old ones, but I'm tired of the style. Where can I find sconces with a 4" plate?

I would spray paint your sconces black, Replace the candle sleeves black. Dump the shades.

Go on Circa Lighting. The sconces are all Visual Comfort, and it is hard to FIND a five inch plate!. Most are 4 and 4 1/2 You will have your pick, I assure you

Scrooooollllll!! Most in multiple finishes. I'd look for a square /rectangular plate. Hate the round squeezed in there. Four inch below two...... and last two are 2.75"........and maybe TOO narrow unless you switch the box. But I would. It looks too crowded : ) All from site above link.

Yes, sorry. My quote came to $10,600 for the Furnace, AC, Tankless HWH and an additional $3,500 for the attic air sealing / insulation. That totals around $14,000 - minus the $5,000 rebate means i'm around $9,000 OTD. Yes, I think my final question is if I want to move tankeless or go power-vent. I was told the tankless was a $1,000 upgrade so I would be at $8,000 OTD with the 50 gallon Bradford White power-vent. My main issue is we have a two-person soaking tub in our master which typically empties our current 75 gallon tank when we fill it. Upgrading to the Navein Tankless "A" series is an additional $275 if we want the reserve tank function which i've also seen conflicting reviews on.

I am presuming that you looked into having the existing ovens refurbished and have decided that that will not work and that you have no interest in redoing that section of kitchen to accommodate a different shape. Then, unless you can increase the width, I think that LindsayMarie79's solution is the best choice.

You've done nice work so far. The kitchen is beautiful and so is the floor. I just have a couple of comments. I think your current seating arrangement is as good as it's going to get. I wouldn't buy a loveseat if you can fit two sofas instead. Put a sofa table behind the one facing the TV to will help to define the entrance. Square the TV cabinet up to the wall. Then either put the TV on a swivel or on an articulating arm to adjust for viewing. I like whitewashed fireplaces, so I would start there. You can always paint it if you don't like it, but you can't go the other way. As for style and color, save your favorite rooms in your living room ideabook. I see you already have two, both neutral, both transitional. Try to identify what it is about each room that you like. You will eventually either get a clear vision for the space...or be totally confused and run back here screaming and we'll help you sort it out. ;-)

If I were your electrician, I would want you to do the fixture modifications, if you scratch the finish it's your issue, not theirs.
