Pantry & Laundry Closet doors
Comments (6)barbcollins no, I have no skills for even simple DIY and this seems pretty complex to me :) I got them from San Sousie art glass. They do all kinds of designs including custom work so if you didn't want letters, I'm sure they could do something else or if you are going to do it yourself, you could probably get inspiration from looking at what they have done....See Moresliding doors on laundry closet - do I ask contractor to change? Comments (15)We had to re-do our laundry closet configuration last year to be able to get side by side machines into the same space. We used to have stacked front loader with dryer on top. Ours is located in the master bathroom. We had bi-fold doors prior which made for nice ease of use and clean lines/look when closed. We tended to keep the bi-folds open a fair bit however to allow more air flow to the washer to prevent mold or mildew. It made for an unkept look with the doors open in our opinion, but was better than mildew. Anyhow, in an effort to keep the space workable if and when repair time comes, we choose not to do bi-folds because the bi-folds would have to be removed and rehung for machine or plumbing servicing. We have friends who could not get their bi-folds to ever hang properly after being taken down and we thought why not hang drapes or curtains instead of sliding doors or bi-folds in our situation? We did put up a nice rod and have drapes instead of doors until we come up with a better idea. I like the look of closed doors better, but really, the air flow to the washer is great in our case now when I have the drapes closed. It was a give and take in our case. I hope you come up with a good plan for your laundry closet. Best of luck....See MoreLaundry Room Closet Doors
Comments (17)I agree about bifold doors...if not necessarily flimsy, they are awkward to operate and don't fold out of the way enough in many applications. I love your idea of the partially sliding in doors and would pick that solution myself. I don't think you need louvered doors either, they are a pain to keep clean and what kind of ventilation does a washer/dryer need? None. I'm not sure if any of the previous links go to this source, but they have a great selection for what you want, up to 110 lbs: https://www.richelieu.com/us/en/category/sliding-system-solutions/sliding-solutions-for-cabinet-and-furniture-applications/hawa-concepta-series-pivot-and-slide-in-pocket-door-system/1206997?nf_1031396=%281764651%29...See Morelaundry - closet doors vs cabinets?
Comments (2)IMO a bad idea and the W/D will block the windows in what appears to be a nice front porch. Could you post a floor plan of the whole house IMO you do not have space for what you plan. Also you need to post pics of the actual space you are using....See Morejaniceme
