We love mountain modern homes, especially bedrooms. The white duvet is perfect with the dark walls and Pendleton blanket; adding lighting pieces through bedding and artwork will help brighten the space and provide contrast for the walls. As far as art for the room goes, you can keep it neutral to let the blanket shine or add more dimension and color to balance the blanket. In this room, we added art that was more colorful than the rest of the room, but because it stands alone, it shines: A more subtle and modern option: You can also add visually interesting light fixtures, especially any that will pop against the darker paint of your room: The colors and textures you have here are already a beautiful starting point. @shirlpp Forget the centering question. Thoughts on a headboard going right up against the window? Would that look strange? @Lisa Caudill Same question about the headboard you like going right up against the window? And what are your thoughts on the bed you liked if I don't get the extra left/right panels? That would make the headboard the same width as the mattress, would it still be your pick for this room or would you go with a different bed? I have decided against having the bed off-center because of the fireplace wall and especially the TV on that wall. I think it would look weird plus it makes no sense to have a TV that is meant for watching in bed but is totally to the left of the bed. So the only options I'm considering are a bed with a traditional sized headboard or an extra wide headboard that goes right up to the window. Both would be centered on the room and on the fireplace wall. This is the fireplace wall with the accent light on, in case that increases the appeal of either of the beds with the LED accent lighting
