When One Branch Changes Colors Before The Rest
Comments (2)i would suggest.. that is the direction the cold air comes from ... or there is pavement on the other side.. that retains heat late into the night.. etc... one might call it a micro climate issue ... that said.. it has nothing to do with potential damage to your shed ... if you cant sleep at night about it.. get rid of that branch .... life's too short to worry about gravity ... dont you think ... i really noticed this kind of thing when i moved to the country .... from suburbia .... less pavement out here.. but it never fails to amaze me.. that i have full tree color.. and go 3 miles into small town.. and they are still green .... it just takes them a week longer to cool off ... and the same in the spring.. their forsythia are going nuts.. and mine are the week behind or so ... and all of this is a very long way of saying.. that if you decide it has to go... you dont really need an arborist.. you just need a tree trimmer... if the tree doc says its good.. will you still leave it hanging there???? ken This post was edited by ken_adrian on Wed, Oct 2, 13 at 15:42...See MoreMy First Before and After pics of a very SMALL weekend project
Comments (34)Thank you everyone. Wish I could remember the other GWer who did something similar in a closet. That was where I got the idea from. The whole thing cost $35. The hooks were $5 each, and we already had the baskets and the paint. DH did the whole thing in one weekend. I am NOT handy like that. I just have the ideas, and he carries them out for me. In our last house we had plaster walls, and every time I hung a picture we ended up with a huge hole in the wall. He has banned me from all power tools- LOL Can't wait to show you all before and after pics of my whole first floor!...See MoreID help, before my eyes cross!
Comments (8)It might not be Amethyst Beauty since it seems early for type 3s to be blooming in NC, though if there are other summer blooming clematis already blooming near you, it's a good possibility. I would guess that it is most likely an early large-flowered, type 2 prune. Check out Edomurasaki. Regardless of what it's called, it's a beauty! Remember that the petal color may not photograph correctly as blue shades are notoriously difficult to photograph, so look at time of year of flowering, anther color, petal shape as well....See MoreChanging hair color after a very long time of being the same shade ...
Comments (63)Well ... I've just had another damn haircut! Went back to the guy who cut it last week when I was attempting the messy bob, but found it took too long to get it right before work in the mornings so I was just blowing it out straight, and it was a bit too long to lay right. I'm now shorter on the sides and in back, and very pleased with how simple it is to style this baby into a swinging little bob. I'm done with the changes for now. Only took a month of multiple stylists and entirely too much money to arrive at a style I'm loving. (Eeek. Entirely too much obsession over hair here!)...See Moredviolet1
