KITCHEN DILEMMA ~ Two tone Kitchen or not ??
Comments (2)it's a good open kitchen which will stand the test of time with island and your ss appliances. Personally, I would do almost anything but thermofoil. In looking at the Thomasville Nouveau choices I would pick the bamboo wafer or something similar...skip the two-tone struggle....and get a more quality material than white thermofoil. It's an open kitchen ...edges and texture , sheen, grain--- everything shows....... don't do thermofoil....See Morekitchen dilemma
Comments (17)Questions from my first comment... I see you have BOTH a Dining Room and a "Nook" space -- pretty close to each other. Would you be willing to eliminate the Nook table/chairs and, maybe, put in a peninsula with a couple of stools? The Dining Room could then become your primary eating space.* Depending on what else is in the Nook space, you might be able to add more storage and, then, maybe eliminate the upper cabinets on the range wall -- that might help with the "off balance" look. There may be other options as well. E.g., How do you feel about opening up the wall b/w the Dining Room and Kitchen? Maybe banquette seating in the Nook against a far wall? We opened a wall and it was one of the best things we did!...See Morekitchen dilemma
Comments (15)Your kitchen is lovely. The variety of materials you have used in the kitchen are harmonious and makes the kitchen uniquely yours. Enjoy it ! As you ask about lighting and stools, consider wicker or rattan to add a "nature" feel to the kitchen or add a color via your light fixtures and painted stools. You have good taste; trust it....See MoreTwo-tone kitchen dilemma
Comments (12)I would have done all the tall pieces dark. 2 color kitchens have been around forever. It is the placement of the colors that is changing. If you design and finishes suit the house, then it shouldn't look trendy or necessarily fall out of favor. If you love it, do it - no one can predict what the future design styles are going to be! Good luck...See More9th St Designs
