A technical question regarding GW posting
Comments (34)Thanks Sue, there were several mistakes. I think I've corrected them here. Also, once they get copied they change into active tabs so you have to retype the commands yourself. Revising this thing is driving me mad. A few useful tags are: <b> bold </b> <u> underline </u> <i> italic </i> <small> small text </small> <font color=red> red </font> <font size=16> 16 pt </font> This is <BR> a command for <BR> a line break Claire...See MoreZep, Posting pictures to GW question
Comments (4)It's real simple. First Up - load the photo to photobucket. Then go to your album and all I do is hold my mouse over the photo, below the photo a window pops up look for (HTML CODE) listed if you left click the HTML CODE it will copy into the mouse, once that is done come back here and simply right click and paste that code into the text, reply box. you will see only see the code at that time, once you select preview you should see the photo of your selection....See MoreThere's no turning back now! Comments (28)Ok, we're done for the day. We're all exhausted! My uncle left this morning to head home and the four of us finished up. Took about 6 hours to cut out and polish the sink cutout, but the guys persevered yesterday and even cut out and polished all the backsplash pieces. Today we finished all the plumbing for the sink, dishwasher and refrigerator, put in a new door, put up the crown, scribe, base and casing (not quite done, we have to figure out a different base for around the cabinets). We also finished installing the appliances, the undercabinet lights and cleaned up a bit. Still to do: finish the base, putty and caulk all the trim, paint trim and the door and install the jewelry (aka hardware). Little stuff, nothing huge. Now I have to get the house cleaned up and back in order! But for now, sitting down feels really good. Oh, and while we were at it, we replaced the (horrid) laminate countertop in the bathroom and put in a new sink and faucet. We'll have to do the rest of the bathroom at some point, but this is a good start!...See MoreCalling all GW angels...Backsplash help!!!
Comments (41)SaltLife, happy to answer your questions about Artistic Tile…there is a wide range of prices. From the ones that I priced out, they were anywhere from $20 to over $200 (ouch!) per SF. I love Arpell - it was one of the ones on my “short list” - it was around $100. The waterjet is definitely their higher priced line. Others are much less - for example, the glass Coltrane Treble Gloss mosaic pattern was around $25/SF, and very pretty. We chose a waterjet mosaic (Veneto), but it was (well) under $100 - a splurge for me, but love, love it. I should mention that our designer was passing along her discount of up to 25% on the retail pricing. So, I guess the bottom line is you shouldn’t rule out Artistic Tile because of price - they do have some relatively reasonable options! Also, if you haven’t already looked at New Ravenna, they have beautiful patterns, too. And they have a quick ship line that is less pricey. Good luck!...See MoreUser
