Like Happytobehome, I think for your kitchen I would do the SS sink and faucet and then go with ORB or other brass for the hardware. Our cabs are white, hardware is a matte black, the faucet is a Grohe Ladylux Plus SS with a black head, and the sink is Silgranit (Anthrocite - white is ugly) with a black countertop. The hardware looks really striking against the white. We will have yellow subway tiles for backsplash to bring some color into the mix. I don't like matching everything but I do like it when all the bits and pieces coordinate nicely.

Oh, forgot to tell you...yes, I do like it. It's easy to use and when I'm filling a pot I leave the pot on the counter and just pull out the faucet head and hang it on the pot edge. I then let it fill...hands free! This is especially handy when I'm filling the 5-gallon bucket for the fish tank. Once that bucket is full, it's too heavy (for me) to lift it out of a sink and then over. It's so much easier to put the bucket on the counter, fill it, and then just ease it off the counter. I have a confession to make, I think I actually like the pull out functionality better than the pull down...I know, it flies in the face of the trend and opinions of most people here... Don't get me wrong, I really like my Vinnata and it works great for the Cleanup Sink; but for prepping, I find the pull out more useful and easier to use. I'm glad I have one of each...I have all the pros of each and those pros counteract the negatives of the other.

I would only advise that you keep "like" items in the same family. You have enough brown to support using the pulls and fixtures, but you have SS also, which supports using silver for the faucets. Just keep the sink fixtures matching any other sinks and the knobs matching the other knobs. I have a mix of metal finishes in my kitchen as well. My knobs are all antique pewter. I have stainless appliances and a countertop that is stainless. I have brass accents on my black enamel stove, so I have also used a brass and silver antique light in the room since I have those finishes available to play with. I think having different finishes is more interesting anyhoo. To match it all is too matchy matchy for me :) But again, I would try to keep the like things the same (ie all knobs and pulls in one finish type, all faucets in one type, etc).

Is the black matte faucet painted? If so, I would worry it would chip or wear away. I seem to recall a few years ago people having those issues with oil rubbed bronze fixtures but, it might be they had lower end finishes, I don't know. Check to see what the finish is on the black faucet you like b/f you commit to it. Regarding all black - it might look rather bleak if everything is black! Other than that, you're probably fine with both being black - do you have pictures?
