GE washer....and an update

A few years ago Jody bought a used washer for me. It cost $35 and the guy at the used appliance store guaranteed it for a month. Since then I have washed two or three loads a day....hardly ever missing a day.

In the flood, it went under water. Today we turned the electric back on, and I decided to see if it the washer would work. That way I could wash clothes while we cleaned. It is working like a champ. It is a GE super capacity, top loader. Old, ugly but still works great.

We do turn off power to the house when we leave it.

Clean up is coming along. The floors have buckled in a few places. We have enough matching boards to fix it. Got to get everything cleaned up first.

The worst aggravation is this....Jody lost the keys to my truck. He moved the trucks to the road in front of our place where it is high ground. It wasn't high enough by a long shot. The trucks were under water almost to the top of the cab.

Today he was going to try and clean it up. Can't find the key. Has no idea what he did with them. Admittedly we were under a lot of stress that night....but it would have been nice if he had told me where he put them.
