Eclipse/ew Moon Poem
Comments (4)From the pictures we saw on TV, it must have been spectacular; if it had been visible in our area, we wouldn't have seen it, either, b/c it's been been cloudy and drizzly for two days--and maybe wll be most of this week. However, the water table is still 4" below what it should be for this time of year, so it's needed. Sure does make the grass and flowers grow!...See MoreIt's Solar Eclipse Day!
Comments (56)100% in little Sparta, TN, a pretty two hour drive from Huntsville, AL. We kept to the back roads the whole time, saw very little eclipse traffic. We enjoyed a spectacular experience with a small contingent of like-minded stranger/friends on a private little knoll; I'll never forget it. It was my second total eclipse and I felt so rewarded to know that my 47 year old memory was vividly accurate! It was a fabulous, memorable experience....See MoreAre you watching the eclipse?
Comments (17)@Honu3421 when we were in Hawaii each time we visited with Garett I was up every night watching the sky. Every night was an event for me. He hadn’t sent one in quite awhile and I had stopped watching the sky lately. He knew I would be out last night. Mahalo. It was 40 and quite windy here in VA . I always watch the sky barefoot standing in my backgarden wrapped in a meditation blanket. At 4:01 the colors of the moon were so beautiful as the eclipse reached its peak. I am glad some of you were able to share this night with me. c...See MoreIs anyone traveling to or going to watch the total solar eclipse
Comments (37)I don't remember the year, but the only eclipse I ever saw was in the spring, more than 25 years ago. Neither DH nor I were thinking about it, but an eclipse was already underway when we walked out of the shop in a garden center. It wasn't only dark, it got quite chilly, too. There was a hush -- birds and insects reacting, I suppose. It took my breath away, something I only realized when I began to breathe again as the sun was revealed. I was truly awed -- the more so for not having expected it....See Moreroselee z8b S.W. Texas
