Grey or taupe - try to match your stone.

Yes my grandmas Tudor was white with dark brown timbers.

There are several Tudor-style homes in my neighborhood, and they all have dark timbering. The stucco between the timbers is generally cream. The color scheme posted above reads fleshy/pinky against your stone which I doubt is what you want.

Yes, I was going to post the same as Sylvia and others - white with dark timbers. I wonder how that would look with the brick tho? I don't even recall right now what color of brick Tudors have - oh, the reddish correct?

The Tudors in my neighborhood have brownish toned brick, not too unlike the stone on the op's house

Are you looking for specific paint color names to try or just a general look and then you'll find the colors to replicate that look?

I agree with Sylvia as well - dark timbers. I would do a rich creamy white on the panels to highlight the warmth of the brick, but if you want a "color," I think a pale green with yellow undertones might work.

I love your last example pic, Tudorista. Perhaps a little too stark white on the stucco, but the cream with the dark timbers just looks so right. I don't blame you for wanting to get rid of the blue. I don't care for it at all. Please do share your "After" pics with us, whatever you go with.

I like the nice creamy color with the contrasting darker on the wood. I would look at your stone and roof colors and use these to pick the dark color. Beautiful house and detailing. The use of the 2 lighter colors doesn't seem to give it the impact as having more contrast between the stucco and trim.

To me, the ones that look the best have the darker timbers and the lighter stucco.

Your house appears to be bedford stone or something very close to it on the bottom. My house is also bedford stone and has the golden tones, which I am sure are very close to yours, although my house is a ranch. A medium to dark brown works well with it and that is what I think your timbers need, and a light cream on the body of it. The blue that is on there now, really does need to be replaced. I also like the colors that you say are what was there originally, although, I think the white is too white, and should be a creamy color instead.

I love the Butter Cream and Fatigue Green version - that is the direction I'd be heading, although I would probably still go with a dark brown on the timbers. If you prefer the light timbers, the Bitter Green and Candle Glow version is my favorite.

I just remembered that there are some very old photos of the house available. This paint job is very faded and the house was obviously not in great condition but here's how it actually looked w/ pale stucco and dark trim:

I like the original colors the best but would love to see the same stucco color with medium brown timbers.

Definitely the angle of the house that's making it look smaller in the original photo. I like the dark timbers with light stucco in the original, but I actually don't care for the tones at all - they read very cool/greyish on my monitor. With that warm golden stone you want something much more along the lines of the Butter Cream or Candle Glow schemes above.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to absolutely everyone up and down this thread. It's been immensely helpful. I've decided to go with creamy stucco and darker trim to defer to the original character of the house. I feel like it's possible to reverse the weights but its and unnecessary risk that won't really honor the original proportions of the house. My next stuggle will be how much contrast and what exact colors.

It is reeeallllly hard to judge when the swatch is surrounded by the existing wall color. But it looks good next to the brick, at least on my monitor.

I don't see the brick in your house photos, is it in the back. I like the color you posted but it would depend what color you are putting for the timbers.
