HELP! Need your advice: bad location for switch in backsplash end

Hi everyone!

Hoping for some help with how to tile the backsplash, ending at the countertop. The GC says that he cannot relocate the box inside or outside the area because the wiring is too short (not sure about that, but we may lose that battle...) So these seem to be the options:

1) GREEN LINE: tile to the left end to the door frame moulding. Seems weird and out of place hanging there;

2) PURPLE LINE: tile to the left end to the door frame moulding + to the floor. We are using bottle green glass tile, may look strange to the floor. Was also contemplating matching on the other side of the patio doors so that it flows and doesn't look out of place, but it's the glass that worries us. White subway tile would be totally fine but glass...?

3) RED LINE: cut tile to the exact shape of the face plate so it has something to rest on (finish around it with steel pencil trim or caulking) as if it weren't there and tile to end of countertop;

4) BLUE LINE: tile at the height that is under the window (sink will be at that location) all the way across on left and right sides, avoiding the switch. The issue with this one is the right side where it joins the wall will have backsplash under the counters on the other part of the counter at standard height of 18". Look strange?

All of these don't seem like great options, I know. Best is to relocate the switch but that may not work.

Hoping to hear many opinions please! Thanks so much in advance!

Ed
