Pseudotsuga Menziesii 'Graceful Grace' Zone pushing
Comments (13)ken: "regardless.. just order it .. what can they possibly tell you to make you NOT want it???? you are enabled.. and addicted.. just order it ..." See how you are! Yes, I do seem to be addicted. And I have this whole fenced in area in the back of my small yard where I should be growing vegetables, but there are all of these conifers.... The "Rochester Pendula" thus goes on my list.... Barb - you are getting some nice trees! You will like that 'Horstmann's Silberlocke;' it does need some protection from our intense afternoon sun (at least that has been my experience) but it seems to like it here; mine has been doing fine for over two years now (I got my tree from Timberline Gardens in Arvada.) I like Forest Farm but sometimes buying from Oregon nurseries you end up getting plants that expect to have warmer winter conditions and a lot more moisture than we do here in Colorado. I went looking for bamboos there one year; the guys at the nursery laughed at me when I said I was looking for bamboos that could survive in Zone 5! I hope you let us know how the concolors do. You have 2 acres to grow things on! Oh what I could do with that amount of land! (Probably end up in the poor house....) By the way, Dax, ken and Nate are the enablers, not me - they just lead me astray, and I am apparently all too willing to be led! :-D Holly...See MorePseudotsuga menziesii (Graceful Grace Weeping Douglas Fir)
Comments (4)Dax, the one I bought is contorted, so it wont be exactly an upright. I'm hoping it will be an interesting component of my garden. I'm excited about it. Trying to decide what to pair it with. We got her in the ground today. What a great way to spend Easter----getting a sunburn in the garden. :-)...See MoreScam or no? Grace rose farm
Comments (29)@susan9santabarbara agree, that’s what I always thought, but I have read on the bbb website where grf (Ryan and the new cs lady) both have replied and it appears some folks have been refunded, so worth a try and anything to get your hard earned money back. That company will continue to cause stress, they absolutely thrive on fake and ugly and hope folks will be quiet, so we may as well warn and send it there, because at least folks can see those complaints/ negative reviews....See MoreGrace Farm Bare root Sale
Comments (104)@Kittysrosegarden thank you for highlighting this. I think your posts and this chat are useful to highlighting why potential customers need to stay away from this membership trap. People are impulsively spending hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars at a time thinking they’ll get these beautiful, healthy, one-of-a-kind roses only to end up with a yard full of twiggy rose bands and failing bare roots. When someone searches for reviews of the membership, the AI algorithm will use this thread to let customers know the reality. It’s super frustrating as I’ve been one of these customers and these issues all stem from poor product quality and reckless money grabbing. If you deliver quality product then you wouldn’t see overloading of customer support, bad reviews, chargebacks etc. You wouldn’t need to spend tens of thousands on marketing but instead they do the opposite....See More- 9 years ago
