Gallery wall help!
Comments (5)I'd try the wedding pic above the Christine (centered, or maybe centered over christ) and the other photo below the Katherine to the right of the S. The names might need to be lowered a bit so the wedding pic isn't too high...See MoreHelp deciding which“size” & which color scheme gallery wall to create!
Comments (11)I have a gallery wall because I have too much art to display any other way. It is much more eclectic than any of the above inspiration pics, as it includes photos, paintings, wood-block prints, and a wood-burned piece, in a variety of colors and sizes (from 4"x4" to 30"x36"). There are white, wood, black, and gold frames. I laid everything out digitally before hanging, and what I found was that the key was balance. My two white frames are at opposite ends of the display, wood frames are scattered throughout, etc. I tried to balance colors as well, so for example red is scattered throughout. You want to balance the visual weight of things, which can be affected by the composition, color, and the presence of a mat. It's definitely harder to make a gallery wall work when you have a mix of pieces. And I'm sure some people would think my wall is too chaotic, but it pleases me....See MoreCan I get some help with a gallery wall?
Comments (7)I think a gallery wall will also look great. the personal sign is a great jumping off point and adding a flag is also a great idea.. feels like you want an eclectic mix and I would suggest adding more meaningful and personal items to add. maybe more vintage objects that he may have. heres a few more inspiration pics to look at and see how they achieved that eclectic mix. different sizes items. one pic has a deer head displayed with other pics and objects. maybe a vintage fishing pole if he is into fishing. while these may not be something that is 'him', it gives the concept. another example... my husband collects old vintage beer signs and we have a wall in our sitting room that is full of vintage beer signs... keep us posted on any of these ideas and what you are thinking and doing......See MoreNeed help with wall gallery layout please!
Comments (11)Use paper bags or butcher paper to cut out the shape of each piece. Lay them out on the floor and play with the grouping. The bottom "row" of the arrangement should be level and at about 5" above the sofa. The pictures that feel visually "heavier" like the two biggest, darkest ones, should probably go on the bottom. Hang all pieces about one hand's breadth apart. You can arrange the others around the "heavier" ones. You could also stack the two larger ones instead if you feel the wall calls for that....See MoreAlicia
