Zucchini Hit With Powdery Mildew - Do I Give Up?

Liz

1st time growing zucchini, 2nd year gardener. I have 3 plants and only 1 zucchini actually make it to the table. Pollination was an issue ( I hand pollinated) but now they are all infected with powdery mildew. I base water and cut back many leaves in an effort to save them. The plants are close to my cucumber plants which are now starting to show signs of powdery mildew.

My question is: Do I give up and pull the zucchini plants so I can save my cucumbers? I don't want to spend more money on a costly and possibly non-effective treatment just to loose my cucumbers as well.
