Bathroom mirror help
Comments (6)Oh sorry! Two pictures are in the master bath and one is DDs room. I was thinking of putting decorative scones on either side of the mirror for my vanity. Not sure how that would look. It always looks so good on HGTV but I seem to hack it up! LOL!...See MoreWhere to buy large bathroom mirrors
Comments (7)Instead of one long mirror we opted for two IKEA mirrors. If the counter had been big enough to fit 3, we would have done that. The arched top of the mirrors matched our cabinets. In the other bathroom we bought a plastic mirror from Home Depot for $20. I figured it would warp or something, but it has been perfect. It is entirely plastic and appears to be all one piece including the frame. Light as a feather. I'm an optics nut when it comes to mirrors, so the HD mirror had to pass my inspection in the store. If a mirror has any fun house effects like wobbly, ripples, or distortion at extended distances, I don't look at it. This HD mirror looked perfect even when reflecting the walls of the store 200 feet away. It is a big mirror but not nearly as big as you're looking for....See MoreTrying to remove stubborn bathroom mirror.
Comments (12)Well, we got it off the wall finally. We pried the bottom out far enough that we could see what was there, and it did appear to be a big glob of glue (left and right). We tried the cable saw some more but it kept getting hung up on the left (more on that later). We switched to a hacksaw blade and worked on the right side for a bit but it was slow going. So we went and picked up a 20" hand saw with a pretty flexible blade, and powered through the glue in about 30 seconds. Turns out, the left side of the mirror also had a z-bar (for hanging the mirror in the other direction), and that's what the cable saw kept getting hung up on. The two big globs of glue or construction adhesive is what was we got through with the hand saw. Thanks to everyone for the advice!...See MoreA fireproof clip that has a part that rotates? Comments (28)ProMemphis, six years ago on Garden Web, everybody said to bump out the rangetop 3", but I can't remember why. That cabinet is built 27" deep, so I would have to have it cut down or have a new one made, plus cut down the 2 drawers underneath it. Plus the plumber would have to uninstall then reinstall the rangetop on two separate trips. The vent hood would then stick out 3" more than the rangetop. It would be okay for shorter people, but it would be a head banger for taller people. Yesterday, I paid $200.00 for a trip charge to have my garage door opener repaired. We live 17 miles away from the company, so 34 miles round trip. Trip charges are killing our budget!...See Morebac717
