I like a mirror with a frame stained to match the cabinetry like this first picture or two separate mirrors centered above each sink each with a fixture centered above each mirror. In this second photo there are sconces but I can imagine it with lights like one linked here, a pair of them, each centered over the two mirrors. A site to shop for possible lights is lightingdirect. olychick, thank you for taking a look. :) I'm relieved to hear you think a white shower pan is best. I am heading out now to find porcelain marble look tiles for the shower walls to pick up the gray as you suggested. I want a shiny finish to the walls. Tell me if you think that's a misstep. I am avoiding marble as I have a marble topped vanity now that is pock marked with etchings. As far as seeing myself in the vanity, yes, I think I will be able to do so. I was planning on a black framed mirror spanning the vanity. My current vanity is 32 1/4" high (as will be the new vanity) and when seated on my vanity stool my reflection is seen up to my chest. The only issue currently is that my knees are pressed against drawers. I failed to mention that I was thinking of using absolute black granite for the vanity top for two reasons: one being cost and the other being to avoid etching. Will doing so deviate too much from my inspiration? Hi Sammy, thank you! I love what you posted above. The only thing is that I think I will use that makeup area to dry my hair, rather than where it's wet by the sink. And to put my heated irons, curlers, etc. So I think--despite the lack of light--that I will use the mirror over there to do my hair. So that's why I picked a mirror that is also sort of pretty for that area. So...if I'm sort of stuck on the idea of putting a mirror there...what would you do over the vanity? Thank you so much.

I want to replace this cabinet mirror with a flat mirror and one or two lights above it because this existing mirror is so bulky. I’m painting the bathroom Revere Pewter (by Benjamin Moore) and the fixtures will all be brushed nickel. To the left of the vanity will be a floor to ceiling white cabinet against the wall (yay for storage). Shower pic attached as well! Appreciate any type of suggestions, I’m the worst with these home projects, keep going in circles.
