Comments (12)sheilajoyce, I was in Barnes & Noble today and browsed through "Too Cute Crochet" by Cynthia Preston. Darling funny hats and scarves, including a cowboy hat, clown hat, kitty hat, dutch girl hat with braids, and many more. You can google the title. It's a sin what we do to defenceless babies, isn't it? Sorry, I didn't notice what type of yarn....See MoreBritspeak II
Comments (47)My post mentioning ironing and sock darning was dated Tuesday at 2.36AM and is still on my screen. Frieda, I remember when this was the RP site you occasionally found items unavailable/disappeared/deleted. I'm sure Houzz must use the same 'system' for all countries/regions. Re spellcheck, Ann I understand that the US way of spelling is used for ALL English words on computer systems. I have always been a terrible speller but do notice when words are 'corrected' to American and occasionally a US 'Houzzer' will pick me up on my use of the English variety! I read recently that if a UK student submits an application to university and has some egs of 'American spelling' therein he/she will not be considered for a place . . . I don't know if it because he has used 'spellcheck' at all or because he should have corrected the 'mistake'. I find it annoying when books have words using both/either UK and American spelling. I suppose it is a sign of lazy proof-reading. I am posting this at approx 09.48AM on Thursday 17 March. GMT...See MoreCowboy boots as works of art
Comments (38)Y’all are making me laugh, and get homesick, LOL. DH and I were on the way to his college roommate’s funeral in Flower Mound, and traffic was lighter than expected, so we had an hour to kill. We stopped at Leddy’s, because I needed show chaps. I saw these boots on the rack, and the salesgirl came over and told me they were hers. Custom made, but she had developed a foot problem and only worn them once. I put them on, and they fit perfectly!!! Peach has never been my favorite color, but I could NOT pass these up!...See MoreOkiedawn OK Zone 7
