Smivies might be right, but the lack of any lobed leaves may indicate red mulberry if the leaves quite fuzzy.

It appears to have fruit in the upper right quadrant of the photo and they appear to have wings, perhaps sort of triangular in cross section. So unless I am mistaken, they aren't mulberry. The seeds sort of resemble my Halesia, but the leaves don't look quite right for that.

I don't think those are fruit, but rather new leaves emerging. Indeed a tricky tree to ID but I think mulberry is right

Agree, those are new leaves emerging -- second flush. Again, the somewhat pale green leaves (paler than white mulberry) reminds me of red mulberry.

The leaves are not fuzzy, and there are no berries/seed pods, just new leaf growth. We are in Georgia, and this tree popped up and is growing at least 2ft or more each year. I am loving it since it is growing next to our deck for shade, but I would love to find out what type of tree it is. :)

Really don't know other than guessing some species of mulberry or perhaps a basswood (white basswood in Georgia).
