Beth, I'm interested in your experience with Dark Desire as well. I also saw it was highly recommended on Roses Unlimited. I believe the owner has 5 of them in pots around the porch or deck. I found several at Lowe's the other day. I have a spot in the garden where a Rose of Sharon has been hanging on for dear life the past year or more. I'm debating replacing it with Dark Desire, a different rose or maybe another rose of sharon. Dark Desire seems it's classified as a hybrid tea one place and a grandiflora another. I haven't seen any pictures of the whole bush yet, and I don't have much experience growing roses other than floribundas or some shrub roses. Would you be kind enough to comment on your experience growing it? I'm curious about the height/growth habit of Dark Desire and whether it might make a good landscape rose with sufficient number of blooms. I've read that it is very healthy and fragrant. I don't cut roses, so that's not real important to me. Your Rainbow Sorbet and Eau Vive blooms are stunning.

I believe I need 'Hot Cocoa'. Is there a particular rose color that is a great as a companion? 'Let Freedom Ring' looks awfully pretty. Does it live up to its photo? Is it or 'Kardinal' better as a cut rose? TIA

Hi, Kentucky! Thanks. Do you have any pictures of Heritage? It’s a beautiful rose. My Savannah is in its first season, the bush is very healthy, I also have a new Beverly, I have them both in pots, they’re acting about the same, both healthy. They've both set on quite a few single petaled blooms recently, which is probably due to the heat. Savannah has had some beautiful blooms recently also, but not a huge number. In the spring it produced some beauties. I’m hoping it will get with the program, it’s really lovely and I love the fragrance!

I've seen very few Polston daylilies in people's garden shots. It's nice to see his Swimming with Sharks. I know he likes his edges and that is a nice one......Ultimate Illusion looks interesting and the clump shot of Red lightning stands out.........I think one of my favorites of this group is Betty Benz. I love the substance and look of the petals. A subtly colored beauty............Maryl
