I haven't a clue... Help!!!
Comments (5)It's just like the parties people have always had when they announce their engagement. It's supposed to be somewhat intimate, with only family and close friends who will be coming to the wedding. An informal chance for everyone to get together and celebrate. No gifts is the usual. I checked google to make sure it was still what I thought it was..lol....See MoreHaven't a clue...Do you?
Comments (3)Yes! Thank you Carol--I believe you're spot on-- although the literature cautions against naming Prenanthes solely by the leaves since they are so variable... I'll try to return to this site and see if I can snap a daytime photo of the flowers to confirm and to assign a species. regards, seedmoney...See MoreHelp I have no clue what this creature could be
Comments (5)Hello Again, Thank you so much for the information I looked at them all long and hard. The mink really caught my attention, So I searched some more pictures of the mink and came upon one with the similar fur texture which I assume now it must have gotten wet by something " maybe from fighting with my cat??" I have also taken into some thought that maybe someones pet ferret got loose. At least I would rather say loose vs set loose considering large owls are all around here... I really wish I could have gotten a picture to compare with you all... I have been taking my camera out with me at night when I take my pup out or check on my cat... But this creature hasn't returned, which leads me to think ether my cat won dominance or this creature was what the large black caught a few nights ago... But none the less here is a picture of the fur texture on this mink that matched. Thanks again for all the help. Here is a link that might be useful:...See MoreYou haven't lived until...
Comments (7)Calliope, congratulations on finishing both of them! And it's great that you are pleased with the result. It looks like a warm, sturdy quilt that will serve you for years to come! I think you were wise to birth it and tie it. So, did Willie help? Maybe add a few extra pounds to move around? :) They love to help! To answer your "what was I thinking?" question...right now my vote would be the colorwash top I recently finished. I loaded it on the frame today. I was afraid it would be a bear to quilt over all those seams and the heavy fusible interfacing, and while it hasn't been problem-free (I'm currently taking a break LOL), so far it hasn't been too bad. Before this project I had only tried the colorwash technique in a class and we made a very small table topper (16 X 18 inches or so). This one is about 30 x 48...it took a VERY long time to choose fabrics, cut however many 2" squares it is (I'm not counting), sew a bunch of them into HSTs, arrange them just so and fuse them into place. And of course sewing the seams took about four times longer than I thought it would. But...like you, I am pleased with it. And it's getting close to being my first finish for the year!
