Orchid Cactus pics
Comments (6)Linda: I dont mind at all you posting a pic of your plant in bloom. I am very new to these plants. I got my orchid cactus as a cutting like yours 3 yrs ago and it has grown huge. I leave it outdoors all the time except for this past winter when we had a 4 day solid freeze and I lost so many plants. I put a few plants in the garage and got so tired of moving them in and out that I left it in the dark cold garage for about 6 weeks. I am told that is what set the blooms and so I have now so many on the one plant. I did the same thing for my clivia plant and it had the best blooms yet. I can't ID your plant and if someone can ID mine I would be happy......thanks Russ...See MoreA few new blooms - some pics
Comments (4)You're welcome, Juliet. Thank you, Betsy and ladyhawke - I'm glad you enjoy the pictures. I have lots of fun taking them. Here are a few more, just open today: MATT, ffo, very large (about 6 1/2") and opens well every time for me. BACON GOLD NUGGET, ffo. I like the cinnamon stippling on this one, it's interesting. I want to try to breed something from it, just for fun. GOLDEN CHIMES, ffo, an oldie but so graceful. The flowers are really small, truly mini - about 2 1/2". I'll have more later - I haven't been into the front yard yet. . . . Laurel...See MoreLove finally bloomed!
