Master Bathroom Layout 6x 14 Help (Round 2)

After some very helpful feedback from ROARAH, HOMEPRO1, and
CPARTIST (Thank you all for shedding light on some flaws in the original plan). I think everyone got to the end
conclusion, faster than I could.

I drew up a few more concepts last night. Could you help me
to choose between:

Option A (with a water closet on the existing footprint). I turned the toilet as suggested.

Option B (with a water closet expanding the footprint, I expanded the width of the bathroom. Bathtub at bottom, and shower at top.

Option C (with a water closet and putting the bath and shower in line)? In this last Option C, I could open the closet to enter from the bathroom, and close off access to the closet from the bedroom.

cpartist - Thank you for the revised drawing. Access is actually from the left of the room, and the double doors open to the patio/backyard.

I know there has been a lot shared on this topic, but given the room layout, do you think it's better to have a) door from the bedroom or b) door from the bathroom, to the master closet?

olychick, thank you for taking a look. :) I'm relieved to hear you think a white shower pan is best. I am heading out now to find porcelain marble look tiles for the shower walls to pick up the gray as you suggested. I want a shiny finish to the walls. Tell me if you think that's a misstep. I am avoiding marble as I have a marble topped vanity now that is pock marked with etchings. As far as seeing myself in the vanity, yes, I think I will be able to do so. I was planning on a black framed mirror spanning the vanity. My current vanity is 32 1/4" high (as will be the new vanity) and when seated on my vanity stool my reflection is seen up to my chest. The only issue currently is that my knees are pressed against drawers. I failed to mention that I was thinking of using absolute black granite for the vanity top for two reasons: one being cost and the other being to avoid etching. Will doing so deviate too much from my inspiration? I like my first idea best as far as use of space. I know people say not to put toilets on an outside wall. We had one in our last house in Iowa, but we had 2X6 construction. I don't know how high your window is, but I'm guessing the toilet would fit under there. The shower would be 5 feet long or shorter if you want a wider space to get to the toilet. (kind of tight the way I have drawn). You could do a 5 and half foot long shower and do an angled door at the left end to allow room between the shower and toilet. The vanity would be about 7 feet long, unless you do a 60 inch vanity with a linen cabinet at the door. I would reverse entry door swing if you do that.. The second top right could work and you would still have a small closet. The bottom left plan would require waterproofing your front window. Hopefully someone will give you other ideas. The bottom right plan is bigger, but no closet. Each square equals 1 foot.

Thank you cpartist & suzanne_m I went to my architect and moving the entrance to my MBR is a no go at this point. She was impressed with the MBA design to square off the wall and move my bathroom fixtures around. I totally understand about the towers taking over and I like the look but I'm only going to do a six foot run with two sinks so I think it would be too cramped to have one in the center. I also plan on doing a frosted glass door in WC for some natural light. She suggested I do a a small tray ceiling in bath to match the bedroom since it's easy enough to do since this part is an extension. My Hall bathroom I will have the shower on the back wall with the sink and toilet on one side and some storage on the opposite side. Although she forgot and drew the door too far over. But I can handle that with the contractor. Thanks again I have attached a photo. Kind of hard to see fixtures on it.

Apologies for delayed reply on these! Thanks for all of your responses. @littlebug - We would be keeping this house for our future kids to inherit and/or for use as a rental/AirBnB. We are also planning on using the equity to fund future real estate investments as it grows, since this area is by the water and the land value has historically only increased here, despite the bubble collapse in past years. Not contradictory statements, but one wouldn't know that without the background information. @hcbm - I don't have kids yet, so I don't have a frame of reference, but isn't filling an inflatable tub commensurate with filling a normal tub? Are you speaking to the inflatable part? @Karenseb - It IS a huge shower - I think it was originally a steam room, but it doesn't function that way anymore. Glass wall is a great idea. @North Texan - YIKES, I have no idea where the access is. The tub is completely tiled around. I can only guess that it must be underneath in the crawl space. We have the same issues you describe; black bits floating no matter how much I clean it. It's awful, but it is free since it's what we currently have, and it is not a big one. I like your idea of the pony wall and I REALLY like the idea of the outlet in the makeup area. @Sigrid - Do you regret keeping it? Is it for the same reason that concerns me, that losing a tub will have an impact on resale?

I like to dress right after my shower so I would prefer the door in the bath but there can be logistical issues with that, steam, smells and sharing that make the other option attractive to many. How do you get ready?

I also do not like to see any disorder in my bedroom so another reason I wanted clothes storage accessed from the bathroom not the bedroom. I also like less doors in the bedroom proper too.

A won't work because there isn't enough space between the shower and the toilet. Assuming you want a glass shower, I don't think you want to look out on the toilet. Plus, I have a thing against having closets in bathrooms. Steam, moisture and all.

In B, how will the door to the shower open?

C is really not good if one of you has a different wake/sleep cycle. Plus there's no relationship between bathroom and closet. While I don't like the closet in the bathroom, I do like there to be a close relationship so you can go from the bathroom to getting dressed. Also look how little room there is to move from the side of the bed into the closet.

What I also don't like about B and C above is how the toilet is now further from the bedroom.

Given a choice of C1 or C2, I prefer the one with the closet in the bathroom but really prefer neither.
