With the mustard solution, worms come to the surface within 15 minutes. If they don't, wait a while and try it again another day. By worms "disappearing" it means they will die and decompose. In your garden it shouldn't be a problem. But if your dead worm concentration is too high, they will make a slimy mess in the pot. If you can repot, that's what I would do. I think that should take care of most of the problem. You can always get more red worms if you want to start composting. There is a lot of stuff online about worm composting. It's easy but you do have to keep at it or the worms will die. Dryness and high or low pH are the enemy of worms. But I don't know the ideal conditions for growing lemons, you wouldn't want to hurt your tree trying to get rid of the worms. Repotting seems like the easiest thing to do, or try the mustard treatment or an electrical probe, which I had never heard of! Cooperative Extension may be able to recommend a less toxic chemical treatment, one that breaks down easily. Pyrethrum is a good insecticide in that respect, but as I copied above, apparently it doesn't kill worms. Of course that is a GOOD thing if you are using it in your garden!

We ordered a custom stainless hood from worldcoppersmith.com. The shape is a PR6, where the sides are straight up and down, not tapering in as it goes to the ceiling. We are installing it between 2 existing cabinets, so it's pretty important for those sides to be straight, and they're not. The whole side bows out so that the cabinet rubs against the hood when it closes, yet at the bottom of the cabinet the hood curves in such that there's a gap between the hood and the cabinet. We verified the cabinet was plumb and then removed the hood and put a straight edge against it. CopperSmith support offered a few suggestions to try to remediate, but so far nothing has worked, and the cost keeps building every time I have the contractor come back to try something else. They're refusing to re-make the hood, claiming "the damage appears to have been caused after production or during the installation process." We didn't remove it from its shipping crate until the attempted installation, and the installation didn't cause it. Has anyone had any luck dealing with post-delivery issues or had any success in getting a remake or a refund?

When I made my recent return to Kohls, they had a very large box next to the return desk. I watched with dismay as the clerk just casually threw, without any care, items into the box. The item I was returning was a large wooden cutting board D23 had sent H for Christmas. He ended up getting a very similar one as a gift from someone at work, prior to Christmas, so I told D23 (she lives across the country and wouldn't be home for Christmas). She asked me to return it since he didn't need two and she got him something else. I still had it in the original box, but the clerk pulled it out and threw it in carelessly on top of everything else. I know much (all?) of these returns end up being sold off as bulk goods to resellers so it was disheartening to see how the items were handled. I imagine many things end up damaged as a result. The cutting board was heavy and could easily have damaged something already in the large container the way he tossed it in. Though I have already been mindful of what I purchase on Amazon, seeing the way goods are handled reinforced my desire to start thinking more carefully before making purchases knowing Amazon makes it so easy to return if I change my mind.
