All your choices are lovely. I am not sure I would put this granite with the walls, but this is a matter of taste.

My concern is what you will do for the backsplash? And, how you are going to tie in all together.

What is the reason you wouldn't put this granite? You won't hurt my feelings! Need something lighter?

I don't know what backsplash yet. How to bring it all together is my concern also and the reason for the post.

To me this kitchen would look great with absolute black granite and white subway tile backsplash.

If you want light countertops, white quartz and white subway tile would also look nice.

I like the colonial white granite, but don't know that white subway tile backsplash would tie it together or look a little bit off. And, if you go with a patterned granite like the colonial white, then that should be the star and the backsplash should be plain & simple.

Also, your cabinets look like a bright white, so make sure to get a true white subway tile. Dal Tile Arctic White is a good example.

I've read a lot of horror stories about AB and constantly needing to clean fingerprints, streaks, and dust. What about Virginia mist in a leathered finish? Do you think the black would look good with our dark floors and oil rubbed bronze hardware?

This isn't Virginia Mist, but the general idea. I'm still a fan of this look for your kitchen.

Hope, I just wanted to say that I also think the Colonial White will work. Again, we have that granite, although I've never seen it leathered, and it's a lovely and interesting stone. We have mid to dark gray tile floors. The blue and green tiles I tried with it were beautiful, I just chickened out on a colored backsplash and those are my colors in our little open plan house.

It's certainly used a lot with white cabinets. Looking at a vertical slab with a cabinet leaned against it is not how it will look in your kitchen. Mine changes in the light, but I didn't have trouble finding white tiles to work with it.

I've seen enough photos on here of kitchens with white cabinets, black countertops, and similar wall color to know that the black granite will look good. Just not sure it would give the look I'm going for....It's not a beach house, but I have been using beach inspired colors. Would the black still work? Or is going to come off as a farmhouse kitchen? While I know the lighter granite is light and airy, I just haven't been able to find a "white" enough granite that I love. I would like a mostly white piece with some brown and black speckling, I don't want a lot of movement. I thought the colonial white would work, even though it's not as white as I wanted, because it pulled the sand color into the kitchen.

I think white cabinets and black counters are a classic look and not necessarily farmhouse (or beach house either). But, black counters definitely make a statement.

Is there a reason you are not considering white quartz? Or possibly even butcher block?

For the record, I do like the colonial white as well and think it would look lovely in your kitchen.
