Prayer Request
Comments (24)If you have local churches you are affiliated with contact them asap. Very often they can be helpful in these situations. A lady I know had a very similar situation, live in care giver, she went to her church and spoke with them about her urgent situation, they were able to help her locate housing with in days. Even if it were temporary that would give you more time to get things in order. Don't just jump into the purchase of a trailer because you are in a pinch, you may end up in a much worse situation if you end up with a money pit! Especially for a used trailer, major things can go wrong. Have extensive inspections done before committing to anything or signing anything. I have seen people jump into a situation like this and end up in a huge costly mess. I wish you well, use your resources, church, agencies, Craigslist, temp agencies. Go to the local trailer parks and ask about rental units and assume payment options all most all large parks have several of these options. It's not advertised but is often listed on bulletin boards at the parks. I knew a young girl just out of school and looking for a cheap place to live, she had a job but not a big salary. I suggested that to her and drove her to one near her work. They had several options, with extremely affordable rates. She had no credit history or savings since she was just starting out and was able to get signed up for a very nice 2 bedroom trailer that day and was moved in with in the week. Check all the options....See MorePrayers Requested
Comments (10)Prayers on the way and I do hope Dianne will contact the elder associations/social workers at the hospital for additional help. Could she go into a memory care unit? We have an excellent one here in ND. Many times people with dementia develop anger issues. Tell Dianne to contact the Alzheimer's association ASAP. They have some wonderful and trained people to help out with many things. They have presented programs to the people here at the assisted living complex and I have been amazed to see all the help available free. Also make sure all the legal stuff is done=wills, bank accounts, health care proxy, power of attorneys etc. I wish the family the best Marie...See MorePrayer request for my cousin Jean.
Comments (61)Thank you Tina. Jeannie, has been strong for so long that it makes sense she breaks down now and then. I think she feels comfortable doing so with me. She knows I can take it. After all we come from the same strong bloodline. Granted, I often break down after we hang up or this weekend on the way back to the hotel, but if she can be strong going through all this, I can be strong for her when she needs it. I thought I'd be able to cry with her, thinking it would make her feel loved, but it just didn't seem right. I did tear up, but the bloodline kicked in and the strength took over. It's just the way we are. Saturday our daughter texted to tell me that a neighborhood friend of hers and her brothers, (we all knew him and his family well, but lost touch after we moved) died last Wednesday. Our son who went to the visitation Sunday and found out it was cancer. He had a brain tumor when he was about three, shortly after we moved to the neighborhood. He was 29. Thank you Jen. I'm so glad she's home too. I don't know if I mentioned earlier, but her hubby had just been in the hospital about a week before she was. He's an artificial valve. I was thinking it was something else, but found out this weekend that it's a valve. I'm going to call Jeannie tomorrow during the day hoping she's feeling more up to talking or maybe even Skyping. I want to thank you all for giving me this outlet to talk about Jeannie as it's helping me more than you know. I know your prayers are helping Jean, and the rest of us, too. Thank you!...See MorePrayer request please
Comments (215)Iris. Hailey just beautiful. Pet owners sure do go thru much pain and sorrow along with the joy. I'm sorry you lost your lovely girl. ((((HUGS)))) I've never lost a pet since Lil is my first but just the thought is painful. Iris, I'm one of those that don't share my feelings irl. Seems it's much easier in the forum. I have had dramatic things happen in my life but I'm not really a dramatic person although I suppose with my sharing at the forum it probably appears I am. Lol. Desertsteph...LOL at the nurse. I have raised three boys..my adult sons.....need I say more. LOL when my Michael was 12 he climbed a fence at my sister's cutting his hand and ended up with a boat load of stitches. Two days later he was running around our back yard when the neighbors dog came charging biting him in the leg...more stitches and a drainage tube. ...that same day he was running down the steps fell off of one measly step and broke a leg..same leg as the dog bite. They cut a window in the cast. Oh my yep it was always something. I do certainly have drama in my life..who doesnt. Lol...See More- 9 years ago
