Another request for positive thoughts and prayers
Comments (31)Good news! Rick is going home from the hospital today. I got to speak with him last night, and he sounded great. He said he feels better than he has in a long time, his pain is greatly diminished, and he rarely has to take pain meds. He's been in pain for a while, but the doctor (not the one that discovered the tumor) said it was arthritis and put him on high dose Ibuprophen. He doesn't have to take that now. Yeah! Comments (8)Sorry to hear he didn't make it Terilyn. I hope you don't mind me adding this... This really hits home here. We recently had two children, in a nearby school distict, contract meningitis. One of the children, a 4 year old boy, rallied for a few days but had to have his arms and legs amputated. A couple days after surgery, he passed away. A parents nightmare. It came so fast. - The warning signs to be aware of are, high fever, confusion, Stiff neck, nausea, light sensitivity. There are other symtoms, those are just the common ones. The 10 year old girl, a friend of the boy, recovered after receiving mediction early in her sickness. Before she returned to school most of her classmates were given the meningitis shot. I don't think anyone knows where the infection came from and I hope it never comes back to their school....See MoreSome good news and another prayer request.
Comments (5)Greetings Pattico. I'm sorry that you have this extra concern to deal with, these days. I'm sending thanks for the good news about the one cousin-in-law, with some hopes and prayers that the healing may continue well. Also some good hopes and prayers for her sister who is travelling under a black cloud at the moment, that there may be good news there as well and the worry unfounded ... but with such a history, especially when the girls were so young when their Mom was so ill, they must be feeling an extra measure of worry. Sometimes it warms a wounded heart to know that strangers are concerned and sending good wishes, so I hope that you will let the girls know of our concern, if you feel it appropriate.
