Comments (1)Sounds like the solenoid again, or the wiring on that valve may just simply be loose. We find all the time that wires will be connected, but grab them and move them around and the valve starts working. We use King waterproof wire nuts to get a waterproof connection. Comments (15)you have a home on a lake... you paid a premium for a view with a lake ... GET RID OF THEM .. and plant something more conducive to the view ... and if you take down 4 and replace with 4 living.. smaller plants.. net impact on mother earth.. zero .. dont listen to these tree lovers.. when it comes to YOUR VIEW ... and .. well you are at it.. get rid of the privet on the wall also .. or do you like trimming them 2 or 3 times per year ... presumably .. you just spent a year or two.. renovating the house.. tell me you improved and updated the whole house ... you didnt leave a bunch of the prior owners nightmares.. just because they made mistakes inside the house.. did you???? so lets move on to your next 'living room' .. that deck out there.. and make it the next prime.. updated.. sitting area ... good luck whatever you decide ken PS: if they had some attraction to covering the deck in poison ivy .. would you leave it there.. ?????...See Moretwo stems growing from cutting - do i cut one?
Comments (4)NO. Let it grow. The important thing right now to to encourage growth and get the tree bigger. You can always prune for shape later. Doing so now might possibly shock the tree, or allow disease into the open wound, and will gain nothing. The second shoot, since it below the soil line, will probably develop roots, if left alone, and will be easy to start a new tree from is removed next spring. If you want a bush shape tree, then just leave it as is....See MorePull out trash: one 50-qt or two 27-qt?
Comments (10)To each their own, so please do not think I am putting any of you down. But I have never understood why anyone would want to store 50, 30, 20, or even 13 gallons of trash in a kitchen. That would be the last place I'd want to store huge amount of trash. And if your argument is that you don't actually fill the bin before taking it out, I think you may be wasting a lot of space that might be better used for something else. My 2-gallon wastebasket sets in the cupboard under the sink, which perfectly holds the bags we put produce in at the grocery store. That's about as much trash as I can stand in the kitchen. Most of our waste is actually recycle, which I am also not willing to give up kitchen real estate for. The trash goes out to the big can at least once a day and often more than once. And for the recycling I open the kitchen door and toss it into a covered can outside. Yes, it's a few extra steps, but I need the exercise anyway....See MoreMarie Tran
