I had toast this morning. I have a staph infection and it is kicking my butt. I have been having chills and fever, headaches, just don't feel good. I am on heavy antibiotics which don't help my stomach. I might be able to eat some soup later. Today has been a bed day.

Nephew who I haven't seen in over 25 years is passing through with his family. Our entire family is having dinner out at a local Italian restaurant. Most likely I will be having veal piccata this evening. It was quite a feat to arrange since the timetable kept changing and our immediate family is scattered to 4 distant corners during the work week. But DD put it together and made it work somehow.

I just popped a meatloaf in the oven!! One of hubby's favorites!

Something with ham, I'm not sure what yet. I was going to cook a chuck roast on Monday, but I had one of the Costco half hams that said use or freeze by June 1 and I cooked that instead. Maybe I'll soak some beans tonight, do ham and beans tomorrow....we like beans with cornbread too!

Meatloaf here too, with mashed potatoes and stewed green beans with tomatoes, onions and bacon.

I'm having a "clean out the fridge" casserole tonight. Chicken breast, rice, onions, celery, chicken stock, and who knows what else.

Tilapia, potato, spinach. Nice and healthy for a change.

Hubby had a tuna steak with brown rice. I had some pasta. I made a homemade chocolate cream pie for dessert. hate stirring the pudding for that long but well worth it, tastes so much better then the box.

We had meatball subs and potato salad from our local sub shop.

DH is having left over fried chicken, mac 'n cheese. I ate 2 hard boiled eggs and some blue chips.

Mexican. We're in San Diego right now and will be going to a Mexican restaurant tonight. Can't wait - I think I could eat Mexican food every day!

Butter chicken with basmati rice. I add chunks of pineapple and broccoli to my butter chicken as I cook it. Sliced strawberries with some Devon cream for later on, the cream is a big splurge, the little bottle was $8.99. Feel better soon Raven

Cherryfizz..I've heard of devon cream but have never had it. Where do you buy this? I'd love to try it. Is it the same as Devonshire that's sold in the state stores?

Sorry you are feeling bad, Raven. Hope tomorrow is a better day. I went to town late, bought feed, hay, etc. I hadn't eaten all day so had a burger and fries. For supper, Jody had steak and salad. I had a tiny piece of steak and a little bit of salad.

Thanks! I ended up with some chicken noodles soup it is supposed to be a miracle cure. I feel a little better. Just wishing the antibiotics would kick in and reduce the swelling.

Mamapinky, I bought it at Metro grocery store which is similar to Kroger/A&P. I think Devonshire cream is clotted cream but not sure about that. Devon cream is double cream. Here is a link that explains the differences and what the bottles look like. I used some of the Devon cream in my butter chicken and then used a tablespoon of the cream to dip my strawberries into

Raven, I hope you are feeling better today! Have you tried eating a little yoghurt? My pharmacist always suggests that to help with stomach problems caused by antibiotics. It does seem to help a bit.

Everyone's meals sound so good! My 'diet' is pretty limited due to Gout, Osteoarthritis, high blood pressure, and one kidney. So reading here about pot roast, ham, meat loaf, meat balls, tuna, etc., has me drooling all over my keyboard! :^)

I 'cheated' on my main meal yesterday. Had a lot of errands to do yesterday, and I was really beat! So I picked up some hot wings on my last stop of the day at Walmart. I love hot wings! That, along with a bottle of Bolthouse Farms 'Green Goodness' was my supper last night.

We had homemade fajitas last night. I meant to have them Tuesday night since I had cooked the chicken when I cooked the ribs. But our financial advisor called DH on Tuesday morning and said he had fresh redfish from their trip to Louisiana over the weekend, and he had some filets for us. DH went to get them, so we had fresh grilled redfish on Tuesday night. Oh, how yummy and then some!!
