If you don't go au natural, don't make regular waxing appointments, don't like it on your hands, had you thought about using it to shave your legs?

I have started some spring cleaning as well. A few large bags of clothing to donate. I shredding a whole file of papers.

I organizing my storage/pantry/laundry room. I got rid of three bins! One had craft items from Girl Scouts over 15 years ago.

We had clean up day in our small town today. I didn't help with it but I cleaned my entry shed.

Maybe use the hand lotion on your feet.. ?? I bought Working Hands cream for feet and HATED the feeling. I held on to it and tried it again while doing my declutter. Confirmed I hated the feeling of the lotion and just end up throwing it away. That was a waste of 5 or 6 bucks. oh I wish I had thought of the shaving...I tossed some other lotion too.

You can give those lotions & other personal care items to women's shelters or... food pantries! So often they don't have shampoo, soap, razors, detergent, toothpaste, deodorant, light bulbs, bleach, etc.

Sylvia, if they've been opened, shelters won't take them.

That's on my "to-do list". It is hard sometimes. I'm a sucker for body creams, etc.,

and usually have way too many tubes, bottles on hand.

I haye to hear that. The one near me takes everything, but ir's a small pantry in a not-huge town. They even take peaches from my neighbor's tree.

Thanks for the suggestions on what to do with the lotion. I'll try using it for shaving and/or my feet. Just yesterday I gave myself a pedicure and painted my toenails purple. Time for summer feet!

Syliva, I don't think our local shelter will take something that's been opened. But, a few months ago, I was cleaning out a closet and came across a box of amenity kits from flying first/business class. These kits usually contain lotion, toothpaste, toothbrush, mouthwash, lip balm, a comb, a sleep mask and a pair of socks. I knew we weren't going to use them, so donated them to the shelter and they were thrilled to get them. They especially liked that they came in a small zipper case and were ready to simply hand to someone and also easy for someone who is homeless to pick up and take with them. Plus, the case could be used for other things once the toiletries are used up.

I was so happy that they didn't go to waste and they would have eventually as the toiletries started to degrade over time.

Have you heard about Better World Books? I want to get rid of some books and my local library no longer does a used book sale. When I googled, I learned about this organization.

They set up bins in various location. Mine is in the parking lot of a library the next town over. It has nothing to do with the library. They only come once a week so I hope the bin is not full when I go over. It's a great way to donate books!
