Please recommend an Amish Kitchen Cabinet Maker in Indiana
Comments (7)Ayr Custom Cabinets in Nappanee, Indiana. The absolute best. Check their website. My kitchen was done perfectly by Ayr. Everyone I know is totally in love with my cabinetry. Ken Miller is the guy. Nothing is too difficult. He will read your mind and know what you want. Beautiful work. Also check the kitchen of 'loves2cook4six'. They do travel so give them a call....See MoreAmish Cabinets
Comments (56)If you are in this area also check out www.kustomkabinetry.com. I used them and the experience was phenomenal. They are Mennonite and work with an Amish builder that does the doors. I have solid cherry, all totally custom. They use computer software to help with planning and do the install. Any pictures I showed them they made it happen. Definitely not the deal déjà has, but still cheaper than the box stores with MUCH better service and quality. I contacted Mr. Yoder and he was up to a year waiting list and we were not comfortable doing so much of the work on our end, and only communicating by mail. Amazing deal if you can make it work. Good luck!...See MoreAmish Kitchen Cabinets Western PA (Pittsburgh Area)???
Comments (4)My husband and I are using Schrock's of Walnut Creek. They are a custom cabinetry company located a couple hours west of Pittsburgh in Walnut Creek, Ohio. I'm not sure if they are Amish or Mennonite owned, but I know there are a combination of both who work there. They have been absolutely wonderful to deal with. We went out several months ago and toured their facility and got to see the cabinets being made. The quality is just fantastic. My contact there is Lyle Miller. He truly has been wonderful. We have just placed our order, so we won't have our cabinets until the beginning of November. I'll be posting lots of pictures when our kitchen is finished!...See MoreRecommendations for Amish cabinet makers in OH
Comments (14)Felt I should chime in here since there seems to be quite a bit of interest in Amish cabinets recently on the forum and I live close to Mullet and many other cabinet makers near what everyone here in Ohio calls "Amish Country." I recently had cabinets made for my entire home renovation/addition. I had the benefit of local knowledge of these places but I still interviewed many of them to make sure I found the best fit. It will be impossible to convey a real overview but I'll mention a couple things that I think will help the most as you're considering your options. There are countless cabinet makers here - many of them will make an outstanding product for a very good price - specifically because they keep their overhead so low with respect to advertising, showrooms, etc.. They excel at fairly straightforward cabinets without a lot of frilly details. Not saying they aren't capable of doing the work from a strictly craftsmanship perspective, they just aren't set up on the front end to intake that high a level of detail - part of that low overhead. These are the places you would mostly hear about only through word of mouth. Excellent value. Then there are a couple places like Mullet - they build a great product but the cost will likely not be significantly less than other more conventional options because they're more or less a conventional cabinet company. Mullet is definitely the most commercialized in this category - they are trying to compete regionally if not nationally. This category of places will/can do anything you can dream up. They have made the investment on the front end with sales people, design and drafting, etc to make it happen. The benefit to using them is you can get a more custom better quality product for the same money you would have paid elsewhere. I had Mullet and several other places from both categories quote my kitchen. My two cents - if you are looking for a place in the second category - great quality with fairly custom details I would HIGHLY recommend Schrocks of Walnut Creek over Mullet. If you're interested in knowing more about specifics of why let me know. Sorry for the long post - tried to keep it as short as possible :)...See Morewilson853
