Adura Max LVT on stairs?
We are in the process of selecting design elements for a new home build and are very interested in the Adura Max Mannington LVT waterproof flooring in Sausalito Bay Breeze. We would plan to install it throughout most of the main floor including the entry way, kitchen, dining/family room, library/office, and main floor bathroom. I would like to include it in the stairs to avoid the family wear and tear on carpeted stairs, but after talking to a friend I'm worried it could be too slippery.
Has anyone used this or other LVT products on stairs? Is it too slippery? Does it hold up?
This is a picture of the flooring sample (on the right) with a small stair trimming piece, cabinet color, countertop sample, and another flooring option in case the Adura Max doesn't work that we are currently considering.

Comments (221)@Alan Ward I also noticed the Max is 8mm thickness and heavier, while rigid is 5.5 mm thick. Not sure how that affects things. @kaycreighton1 thank you! Initially we were just looking at Max. the stairs themselves we are carpeting and thankfully the hallway/loft upstairs is mainly above the garage, so not TOO worried about a lot of noise. Comments (3622)I just wanted to share some install photos. We just finished a kitchen of One Sweet Talker. I love how it looks and I love the wider and longer planks. The customer service was again top notch. However, I hate that I have to say this but I feel like I need to share because I wish I'd known. This is our second house with Supercore and we love the company. We just finished the install Thurs. Sunday we had guests over. One of them must have had a rock stuck in their shoe or something. There's now a huge area of scratching. Almost a foot long. It's so disappointing. Comments (3)You make a good point about never moving the table!!! Just wanted to be sure that it wouldn't cause the floor to ripple or bubble, etc . I have seen some comment that the muted LVTs have a tendency to look like they have a haze or fog on them in certain lights. I don't want glossy but don't want it to look dirty either. 6 years agoYes and I have loved it! (We did NOT do it in the stairs, and I think that was the right choice too.) We've only been in the home for two months so far and I've loved it! The second picture here is with indoor lighting on and the other two are just with daylight though the window. I've never actually noticed it looking that yellow, most of the time it is just the beautiful gray I love.

5 years agoI have done stairs with LVT without additional accessories. Its possible to cut through on the back of the plank few layers and then it will bend equally
