hong I'm probably the most impatient person around! lol! It's just NOT one of my better qualities - sorry! Example: I've been waiting patiently (not) for Spring to 'SPRING!' - so the brugs can go outside! lol! I'm sure Mark is not in trouble - so I wouldn't worry about it. We all come here as a group of friends (more like family) to share our love for brugs & anyhing else that might peak our interest. We help one another as best we can. So please - as someone new to the forum family - welcome & enjoy the people here! :) We have a great group of people here who are ready, able, and willing to help. What more can I say?? I have a feeling after awhile you'll fit in with us - or we'll fit in with you! lol! Either way - we ALL benefit! Hang in there. It's not easy I know. But you're doing what's right and that takes true courage. I fully understand the frustration about your dad. Making a long story short, my dad died last spring and he hadn't talked to me for years. Last thing he said was "I've got nothing more to say to you". I realize he was brainwashed by my greedy brother but nothing could be done. Family supported him and I was made out to be the devil for pointing out how he was trying to rob my dad. My sister talked me into going and seeing him in the hospital when he died, and he turned away and wouldn't even acknowledge me, much less talk to me. I knew I was right all along. Not only did my brother clean out most everything my dad had, which was substantial, but he also convinced him to leave him 3/5ths of what's left. People do strange things. You can do what's right or go with the flow. I'm glad to see someone else who stands up for what's right, even at their own expense. One suggestion, tell your SIL to not tell ANYONE where she goes, period. In this type of a situation, you just can't trust anyone. Sad, but true. She might be able to set up a remailing system with a victim's advocacy group or something to be able to communicate quick messages until the coast is a little more clear. But again, be careful. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best for all of you. Take comfort that you're doing what's right. Don't let it eat you up. Kudos again!

This kitchen was first posted in 2010 or so on Retrorenovation, I am not sure why it's been resurrected as recent elsewhere on the net. But it is worth posting it for people to see here. Apparently the house was never lived in and the current owner as of 2010 was selling the original appliances. Maybe he wanted to sell them all as "unused" but needed a DW so plugged one into the spot. I know I could've used a DW even when I didn't have a stove.

We had a clam shell driveway when we bought our house last year, and while it looked pretty, the shells were everywhere. They stuck to our shoes, they were in the house, in our cars, and my DH took them to work on his shoes and left them in the parking lot there. When we built our new garage we replaced the shells with gravel. A problem for plowing, but I love the crunching sound it makes when i walk on it and i can drive over it in all but the most severe snow events. Weeds can be a problem and i do have to rake some stones out of the grass in the spring. I like that it’s permeable for water drainage. in a couple of years i may decide to change to a blacktop driveway for plowing and keeping it clean, but right now the gravel works for us.
