Translucent Pothos Leaves?
Comments (17)Purple, Thanks! I'm glad it's back to normal too *phew* I've wanted one of these for a long time and this year appears to be the first year our Lowes has carried them in... well, a long time! greenchic, Thanks for the information, I will remember that if I see it again. I was afraid I'd done something to cause the damage but I couldn't think of anything. I've cut a vine to root and I'll hopefully be able to give it to my Mother (she has also been infected by the plant bug, I don't know who got it first though, her or myself). Hubby and my Father are looking at us like we're nuts... Hubby feels that once he and I get a house I'll really go nuts. Well, there is more room in a house for more plants right? :D Planto...See MoreHelp me ID light brown/translucent spots on tomato leaves
Comments (3)Thanks for the reply Jean! I did some serious hunting online last night and reached the conclusion it is probably scorched from the sun. I was thinking all the cold and water (and wind, though they were somewhat sheltered) probably caused the light green color and weakened them and then maybe even yesterday I really made it worse trying to help with the foliar spray a little too late in the morning! Every year I learn more about this stuff. Good thing tomatoes are tough cookies. :) Amy...See MoreWhite/Translucent Fungus on Leaves (Cherimoya)
Comments (4)Tell me that in the least you pulled off all of the infected leaves and burned them? After that I wonder what it is you're waiting for to do something? A Specific diagnosis? Fruit loss? Tree death? Infection spread to other trees? IMO a prophylactic broad spectrum fungicide treatment with something like fertilome, or organocide is never unwarranted....See Morevery small dark green shiny round fungus(?) on green bean leaves
Comments (4)I don't have a way to make photos of something so small...the macro function on my digital camera doesn't go close enough. Last year this fungus spread through a lot of seedlings I was growing under grow lights, and eventually killed the plants. This year I just saw it for the first time on some bean and cucumber seedlings. I tried spraying a dilute bleach mix on the cucumber seedlings after I planted them in containers. The leaves didn't take the spray very well, so I've waiting to see if the plant will put out new leaves and if they are infected. I've looked at online photos of vegetable fungus diseases, but haven't seen anything with these tiny dark green shiny round blobs ( 1/16" or smaller) that spread on the leaves. Whatever it is, it doesn't seem to be common. I'm looking for some closeup lenses for my Panasonic FZ28. If I can a set, I'll post photos if this fungus comes back....See Moreken_adrian Adrian MI cold Z5
