marcopolo, I can't speak for everyone else, but thank you for your comment. This is my favorite thread too; it's the first thing I look at each morning. I love seeing all of the wonderful photos people share and I enjoy sharing my photos as well. Coming up with something that matches the unofficial theme each day gives me great pleasure!

ETA: Jim, every year I pull those hyacinths out by the handfuls. ugh. They have taken over, and I believe this Spring has been the worst. Last year I filled a box with them and put the box out by the road with a sign saying "Free - fill up a bag - PLEASE!" ; )

nicole, my quince shrub only blooms down around the bottom. It's about three years old now, still small, appx. 2' tall. The second year it had several fruit but before the neighbor could harvest them to make jelly some critter stole them! They weren't even ripe and I can imagine how bitter they must have been.
