What color floor with white and light maple? Do I "risk" a blue?

If we do the two-tone white and light maple cabs, and a white counter, what color floor should we do? We don't want to do wood, as the kitchen leads into the dining room, and it would clash. We *could* try to match the stain of the DR floor, but we don't actually care for it a lot, so that's a no-go. I don't think a different wood stain would look good, so we want to do ceramic/porcelain/vinyl/whatever.

I want to bring bold greens and/or blues in, but I can do that with paint and backsplash. While I think a subtle blue floor would look nice, if we do that then I don't know that I'd also want to do a bright blue wall.

A couple years ago, I was obsessed with Karndean Michelangelo in Adriatic Blue, but I then moved away from it. I still love it, but I'd be a little scared to put it in. What do y'all think? About the Karndean and about floor color generally?
