Comments (12)I totally agree with MBright - I was going to suggest mock orange, lilac, pheasantberry (leycesteria), ninebark (physocarpus), elderberries (sambucus)... and other tall arching but deciduous shrubs. If you totally want evergreen I'd also suggest mixing in some of the tall coniferous varieties - upright junipers, thujas, or maybe hemlocks, and others of the types used for hedging. My preference is for a mixed, layered approach rather than a hedge, but if a hedge works for you, why not use that? For seasonal coverage, don't discount the value of tall perennials. If you can grow things like delphiniums, cimicifugas (name change to actea), Kiregeshoma koreana, thalictrums, and others that are escaping me at the moment, they can provide some screening too. Finally, regarding sharp holly leaves... if that's a busy street, you probably don't want the kids cavorting around those bushes anyhow, and sharp leaves would give you an additional reason to dissuade them. Comments (3)Exactly how is your system connected? Are you pulling return air from the return air grill of the HVAC system? If so what is the static pressure of the return side? What is the static pressure of the supply side. If it is constricted as you say these numbers should be high out of spec. If they are you need to open up the duct work to remove some of that restriction. Minimum Duct Size Round: 10" Rectangular: 6" x 15" Intake Air Duct should be 10% larger Maximum Static Pressure: .4" Water Column Velocity: 1400 FPM at the above mentioned duct sizes. Attached a link for a duct fan, may work but it is a band-aid. The real fix is to open up the duct work. If your return air is not ducted I would get that hooked up also. Here is a link that might be useful: Booster Fan...See MoreI'm a bridesmaid and the bride is angry with me. Help!
Comments (12)To be fair, she did mention she wanted a destination bach but we did not discuss cost until recently. I explained from the get-go that my decision will depend on how much everything came out to be. Unfortunately, I also had some recent changes in financial obligations that further made the trip impossible. I want to give her the benefit of the doubt that she did not intentionally want to be mean and that it's just stress from wedding planning. In her defense, we've been friends for a while and she is usually very fair when it comes to splitting costs, so this is a shock to me. Thank you all for your advice. Seeing that a week has passed and she still hasn't reached out, I will try talking to her. Hopefully, she has had some time to cool off and will be more receptive. Otherwise, I will politely back out. Thanks again, you've been super helpful....See MoreNeed help from my virtual bridesmaids, trying to wrap it up!
Comments (46)Love the "hippie headband!" Costs more than my wedding dress! Not to say that is an issue or a bad thing, my wedding dress was dirt cheap! The shoes I am looking at are more than the dress too! The ones I got were very inexpensive, around 30 bucks but that's because they are fabric. The ones I am looking at are leather. I get better wear out of fabric than the fake plastic leather, which I inevitably tear or cut in some way . . . I am hard on shoes, being so outdoorsy....See Morejojoco
