WANTED: Part 1 from Gina
Comments (43)I have been using my little bowls for EVERYTHING!! I love them. I'm finding they are perfect for individual servings of ice cream, Jell-O, boiled potatoes, soup, broth, sweet banana pudding and pasta. Today I'm jumping in there with a little boiled chicken! Whoo hoo! I'm going to start adding a little substance to my diet this week and I can't figure out if I want to use the peach salsa on a Tuna steak or just eat it out of the jar. I can't wait! Gina, I love these little bowls! They look so pretty just sitting on the counter....they match my kitchen because of a soft peachy glow they have. The book is a very interesting read. I'm almost halfway finished with it!...See MoreEmeril pan 'exploded' on glass cooktop!
Comments (2)A pan shouldn't do that under normal use. If you had the burner on highest and put an extrememly cold item into it, it could warp as you describe due to temp changes. Otherwise, it was defective and you should return it for another brand of cookware....See MoreMaking soft cooked eggs in the microwave
Comments (30)Teresa, I know you asked for ways to microwave an egg, Out of the shell. So this is probably not of any help to you. But I thought I'd add it anyway. I, too, like my eggs with a soft, even runny, yolk. But boiled. I have a handy lttle egg cooker that I got in Walmart, several years ago. It is plastic of some sort, egg shaped. You fill the bottom with water to a certain level (marked), put in the aluminum insert, Stand one to four eggs on it, put the top half of the 'egg' on, And mmicrowave, on high, For the number of minutes it says for the degree of doneness you want. Let it stand for a bit, and remove eggs to cold water. When slightly cooled to touch, Peel & eat. It may take a bit of experimenting with different egg sizes, And different microwaves, But after that, A perfetly done (boiled) egg, Perfect for dipping, Every time! Comments (21)Lol...I'm a total klutz. After reading these stories it's reminded me of so many messy things I've done. Why oh why am I installing a white kitchen?!?! Last year I poured a bottle of wine into a decanter, put it on a burner on the stove to decant, forgot about it, turned the other burner on to boil water, heard a loud crack from the kitchen a bit later and ran in to find broken glass and red wine everywhere! I had turned the wrong burner on...glad I'm getting gas so I can avoid this problem, since I've melted tupperware, bread bags, you name it. Lack of counter space and having to use the stove to put stuff down on didn't help either. Then there was the time my friends small, but agile dog, must have been bouncing up and down with great effort to reach a nice fresh mixed berry pie I had sitting at the back of the counter, and he got it. When I went back into that kitchen it looked like someone had been murdered! AHHH!! How am I ever going to keep my new kitchen clean??...See MoreUser
