Please come help me identify

Dear rose ones, I need help. Please help me identify. In my usual buying frenzy, I obtained roses from fabled Burling. If you go to her nursery, I hope you comport yourself in more composed fashion than did I. Completely neglecting my carefully composed list, I picked up random roses - "ooh, what's this?" - and accepted those Burling thrust upon me. Then, at a Huntington Gardens-Heritage Rose Foundation event, I picked up identified roses I'd never heard nor read about, and I can find information through neither usually reliable HelpMeFind nor the Google machine. I'm ready to plant, and I'd like to know where two roses will best go.

Pamela's Rose. I believe it's from -- well, I don't know. Can't find it named in Burling's current list. The name leads me to believe someone up in NoCal can help me here. I suspect it's easily identified, just not by me.

Second identification needed is labeled "Albert Barnes." Not a peep on the interwebz on this one.

Any help gratefully received. These are the final 23 roses - yeah, I know, can't believe that number either, and my friends mock me ("but where will you put them?") - and I'd like to find their Best Spot.

What you're remembering as "Albert Barnes" is likely the found rose called "Abbott & Burns", which has been described as a Lawrenciana, or "mini-China", along the lines of 'Rouletii' and 'Oakington Ruby'. I don't have it, but last year I did get Dolly Dudley from Rose Petals Nursery. Cydney Wade, the owner, told me it may be the same as "Abbott & Burns". Whether or not they're exactly the same I don't know. But they must be similar enough that people think they might be.

I can't help you with the other one. Maybe you nabbed another found rose going by the name of Pam's Pink. Otherwise, search HMF for other roses with "Pam" in the name.

Dara, congratulations on all your new acquisitions! Rose collectors are not crazy. We're passionate and delightfully obsessed.

I can think of 3 possibilities for "Pamela's Rose". Pam's Pink, which Christopher mentioned, was named to honor TX Rose Rustler founder Pam Puyear. Pam's Choice is an unusual and striking tan-mauve Paul Barden floribunda. Pamela is a yellow Kordes floribunda, but I'm doubtful this one is your Burling rose. All three should be on HMF so maybe you can identify a match or eliminatate mismatches.

Your most reliable source would be the builder of that model home. Since it is new there should be no problem finding the reference number.

In growing 130+ own-root roses from tiny bands or rootings, the most common cause of quick death: withering cane, then black cane is TOO ACIDIC It happened when I fixed my rock-hard clay with too much green organics (grass clippings, or alfalfa pellets). These release acid. Plus tons of acidic rain make "pickled veggies" out of these green organics. Tiny own-roots are very sensitive to pH drop. I never kill any roses with too alkaline, but I killed plenty of own-roots with too acidic. Now I always put lime first (pH 9) before putting organics (grass clippings, fresh leaves, alfalfa). The same thing happened: withering & blank cane when I planted Thai basil in clay fixed with peat moss (pH 4). That was too acidic and killed 2 of the $3 pot of Thai basil.

Can anyone help me identify the brand /color of this laminate? Please!

I am hoping someone can help me identify the brand of this flooring. color too if possible. Let me give you a few details that might help. the backside of the laminate is an orange brown color and its not a foam backed laminate. all the brands seem to measure a little differently. this brand is exactly 6.5 inches wide excluding toungues and 47 and 7/8” long any help would ne greatly appreciated i need a few more boxes and first step is to know the brand even if discontinued i think i can find some if i can identify it. it might be something home depot sold 10 years ago or so. the only home improvement store we have here is home depot but really it could have come from elsewhere . any help would be greatly appreciated!!
