How to Fix/Adjust Toro 20017 Self-Propel Cable
Comments (17)I have the same model, now laying there apart. I specified the exact part # for the traction cable at a dealer, got the parts manual for my serial # online. But the old cable had a ball at the end that retained it in the spring. The new one has like an "S" curve at the end of the cable, at both ends really. I see how to insert it at the handle assembly. But there is no way it will go into the spring. It looks like the one I got is made to insert into the bracket at the transmission end rather than through the spring. I sent an email to Toro, maybe they will tell me I was sold the wrong part. Oh, and there is no way that black plastic part at the housing was going to come off by sliding it through the slot into the bigger hole. I had to chisel it off, no matter because the cable was broken anyway and the new one comes with this plastic part. If this works the photo at the link shows the old cable and spring at bottom, new one at top. Here is a link that might be useful: photo...See MoreHDMI Monster Cable necessary?
Comments (4)I have only one Monster Cable product, which I bought cheap at Goodwill. It's the cable from my DVD player to my receiver. I can't honestly say it sounds any different from the vendor-supplied cable that came with the DVD player. It simply was long enough to reach what it had to; the original one was not. There is an entire "cult" based around the qualities of various cables and their materials and construction, and the sky is the limit on what some people are willing to pay for them. While there may be discernible differences between cables, IMHO they are just that -- differences -- not necessarily improvements. I would venture that most folks out there would not experience any kind of improvement in using fancier cables -- certainly not while the cable company signal and room configuration has such a great effect on what you actually see and hear....See Morehelp! bent hdmi connector - cable through walls
Comments (6)dandylandy, I think you already know the answer and yes, it will probably involve going back into the walls. I won't place any blame here because I don't know the particulars of your installation. That said there are installation techniques that could have helped your current situation. If a clear route can not be obtained where future cables could not be easily be pulled through, use PVC or flexible conduit to allow for future upgrades (or replacement of a bad cable) of a large enough diameter to allow for multiple cables. If that is not possible run two of each required cable to allow for future expansion or alternates for cable problems. Additionally, don't run out of the wall directly but used termination wall plates where the in-wall cable plugs into the backside of the plate and a short replaceable cable is used between the wall plate and television. I would first check to see if maybe only the outer metal shield was bent and that the actual connector to the wiring is still intact. A short extender HDMI cable may be able to be attached securely to the damaged cable and provide a solution. If not, then yes you need to run a new cable. By the way, yes you need HDMI for 3D (ver 1.4 more or less), and yes, the connector can not be replaced....See MoreVGA monitor and HDMI desk top computer
Comments (2)I'm confused . . . didn't you already ask this question a while back ? Have you actually solved it as beng12 says ? EDIT : Oh I see, beng12 replied, putting this to the top of the list, but actually you must have solved it in a different post. So . . . . best not to post multiple posts about the same issue so as not to make for confusion. Disregard the following then : = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = If not, can you clarify . . . . Your computer has, for monitor connections : HDMI & DVI ?? Your monitor has : VGA, and . . . DVI ??? Here is a link to diagram of the different ports to help identify what you have. VGA, DVI, HDMI ports The ones on the left are just different versions of DVI. If you can't identify the other monitor's ports, could you state the model of the monitor so we can look it up....See MoreTechnospeak Corporation
