I don't understand what a "holding fee" is. I've never heard of it. Did you sign anything with a date on it? That may be your key to this. Are they "holding" an empty apartment for you. I am guessing, since I do not know exactly what a "holding fee" is, that you signed something dated, and are obligated to the terms in effect at the time. I am thinking that a "holding fee" could also work in a renters favor, whereas they could not jump the rent, in between the time you looked at it, and the time it takes to approve you, like a bait and switch scheme. Apparently it could also have a negative effect on the renter. It looks like they are not going to give you the new deal out of goodwill. As far as whether the law is on your side depends on what state you live in. The important question here is did you sign any paperwork? The answer may be in the fine print about the holding fee.

Well Kanga, as you've seen from this thread...there are people who would change your wall color, change your cabinet color, who would do any number of different things with the island. lol. No point in thinking about what a future owner might or might not do. In your shoes, I'd be thinking about the kind of kitchen I'd like to have in my NEW place. Exciting.

Yes some apps you will find are only able to work in one mode I hate that. I have several like that.

@jinx thank you! The first image you posted is where I got the inspiration for the Whitestone porch and Normandy siding. Just was hoping to go with a yellow for the door instead of the Rust but unsure if it actually goes well. So hard to tell from the little squares on the house!
