Yes, we went out for Mexican food and it was delicious. We just got each other simple gifts. I got him a card, new charger, shirt, and coffee mug. He got me a card, stuffed animal, coffee, and he wants to take me shopping.

Not really. I have a bad memory associated with Feb. 14 and do not do anything special for that day. But my husband and I went on our first date on Feb. 10, to a high school Valentines Day dance, many, many years ago. We celebrate that date instead.

I had a quiet day. After I made lasagna for DS and family, DH went over to enjoy it and I stayed home resting my still-broken ankle. But he brought a nice portion home for me, together with dessert. I also finished reading a very good book and now am looking for another book that will be just as enjoyable.

DH and I are vacationing in Florida. Who can ask for anything more. Glad you all celebrated with your loved ones.

A blizzard all day and then when the snow tapered off a bit in the evening we went to our regular Tuesday night card game with family (just down the street). Still a blizzard today, the city has been shut down for 2 days now!

I love valentine's day. I got I huge flower arrangement,red and pink roses and white lilies, a singing balloon,and a big gourmet food basket. I got him some jeans that he loves,a new shaving bag,and tons of candy and cards. SO grilled chicken,and I cooked all the sides and made two different desserts,including cupcakes and a strawberry shortcake. It is kind of a sad day too though,as one of my fur babies died a year ago on valentine's day,but SO always tries to make it a happy day for me.

Yes. A day spent with the grand kids is always a great day. I was super tired since I only got a couple hours sleep the night before but we had fun anyway. Grandson and I did puzzles whiles older sister was in preschool. He's really getting good at puzzles. He is doing pieced puzzles now, not just the shape in place ones. Then we all went to pick DGD up and came back to go through her Valentine's Day bag. Lots of candy and cards. :-)
We then decorated heart cookies for the "party" that evening. On holidays like Valentines and St. Patrick's etc. DD and DSIL call it a "party". Usually pizza or other kids food's and special treats. I declined the invitation to stay and drug my weary body home and stopped for a tri tip dip for my dinner.

We went over to my daughter's home and her daughter came with my first great grand and , needless to say, I was happy. Gifts were given, my big one was a mini Ipad4 which I hadn't expected. We all had eaten but my daughter had made an amazing red velvet cake which they all enjoyed. I don't like cake.

We exchanged cards and candy in the morning. We went out to dinner at a local Italian Restaurant. It was packed. At the end of the meal, the waiter presented us with a small goodie bag with chocolates.

I shouldn't complain, but, LOL. Not so good, RA is BAD, bad enough I want to take a pill, bad enough I want 2 pills LOL...but on an up note. My grands both got me a heart filled with chocolate and both made me cards...my princess daughter Amiee, stripped and made her bed on her own to save me work, this took tremendous effort on her part as just making it to a bathroom on her own can be a struggle, I did not let her see the tears my heart shed knowing the pain she suffered in this unselfish gift of love. Nothing from hubs, not even a word. But that folks is a whole different book.

Than my 36y.o. son Matt stopped with a chocolate cake for his mommy. LOL.

I have great kids.

I baked a deboned stuffed chicken, stuffed with crawfish jambalaya. I sauted cabbage and baby spinach in olive oil to go with that. We had a small slice of lattice peach pie for dessert. He brought me a card with a heart shaped pink sucker attached and roses. I made a hand colored card for him with his dinner.

We didn't have any thing special planned. I am still working on getting the house in order. So I worked most of the day.

I worked, just another day for me.

I have been watching my 3 grandkids while mom and dad were out of town for a few days. I came home during the day while the kids were in school. My hubby never goes anywhere without telling me where he is going. I saw him drive out the drive and thought hmmm. Well, it wasn't long and he was back with flowers for me. It was a total surprise because he rarely does this.. and, beautiful they were!!

We don't celebrate anything.... In fact, Jody was working on the boat and didn't come home. We had a storm come through, so I was inside most of the day. The cats and I had a quiet evening and I had a homemade hamburger for supper and then we went to bed early. Basically same thing today....except I had to go pick up a load of dog food.

No, memories of when my dad and I celebrated it and I loved it when we could do that as my mother was away during those times.

I just missed him so much and nothing was done due to stuck in this room. NO mail and that was hard to seeing emptiness.

NO special meal, nothing.
