I am a hostess that does not want guests to bring anything other than a bottle of wine (as long as they do not need me to open it right then as I have my drinks planned). I really do not like flowers as I have my table and such set and then need to cut and vase the flowers and too often they are from Trader Joes and are half dead. I hate any guest to do the dishes. I am a really really nice person and am grateful if anyone serves me anything at all at their home as they wish--paper plates/unseasoned food/whatever. Does not bother me at all and most often I take many dishes because they want me to and I do not mind at all. But! when I am the hostess I just want to run the show and really do not want to put other's food into the mix.

ohiomom, sounds nice. This was a couple tents behind a railroad sation, LOL. No ambiance, but I had fun :) Lucky, Kathleen, you have many markets at your disposal. I haven't been out east in a while and the way it's going, we're going to have to wait until spring! yes, San, this is the place. Was a lot of fun. Wish I found it sooner, the corn was fantastic, best I've had. Can't remember the name but it was not Silver King. Terri, there's one last donut left, hopefully for my morning coffee but highly doubtful :) earthlydelights, LOL, a granny cart would have been perfect, but I have no room in my frig for it all! I microwaved the cauliflower and the water turned a beautiful shade of purple, then I sauted it with some orange tomatoes. It was good. Cool color. Tomorrow I'll make some carrots. It'll be some very colorful dinners the next few nights!

Ok well I made those cute little pork cutlets last night. Made them with Panko. They came out beautiful! I fried them ouside on the patio to keep the fried food smell out of the house. But sadly I dropped the whole pan of them on the floor. Upside down. They were all laying there where I'm certain there is cat hair, dog hair, dirt..... they're pavers with sand/dirt in between them! Hubs said he'd still eat them. I tried but couldn't. I get grossed out too easily. So much for the cute little pork cutlets. I threw a bunch away after he ate what he wanted. Now that man won't eat vegetables but he'll eat off the pavers. I just dont understand him.

I was going to suggest the pressure cooker. Without a manual, you can still get some good info online. I've included links below to the two most popular sources for pressure cooker recipes. Also, you could search online for the manual that accompanies your particular cooker. Once you get a general recipe for a pot roast that's about the weight of your cut of meat, you'll know how much liquid is needed and how long to cook it.
