If anyone else has tried it, I'd be intersted to hear what you think. Wondering if there are any uses for it I haven't thought of yet. I purchased an 800 g container more than a year ago and went out to get a new one today. Lasts a long time and I would almost call it a "miracle cleaner". I have stainless appliances and this removes all the water/drip marks and makes the steel look new. It also cleans my black granite counters beautifully. No water marks. I'm done, but they don't look good! Thank goodness the plate covers the worst part! Karen, you are right...no more silver. Of course if Judith wants to pass on her silver chargers, already polished that is, I'm game! Still playing and cooking...When I went to the supermarket today I got the cutest stuffed animals for the kids,dirt cheAP..COULDN'T BELIEVE IT.. and all the candy was half off...even the DOVE eggs! I am "lucky" enough to have 3 sets for 12 plus a luncheon set, and I use them for everyday and have found that the Connoisseur Silver Wipes, sold at Bed, Bath and Beyond are great. Riverrat turned me to those and when I get down to 3 sheets, I go for a new box. Just wet the silver and wipe/rub and the tarnish is gone. I also was buying the Hagerty silver dip at BB&B but they no longer carry it. Wrights is fast but the silver seems to tarnish much faster than with Hagerty. You can buy the silver cloth at the fabric store and line a drawer or flatware tray and it really does help. Keep it "cacooned". Also, made by Hagerty are silver strips, long narrow strips of a treated paper that you can place in the drawer to prevent tarnish. Great for larger items placed in a zip bag, like a coffee pot or tray. Never, ever put the silver in the dishwasher mixed with your stainless. You can dishwasher it, but they cannot touch or you will have black tarnish like marks. But most importantly, use your silver when ever you can.

I am a decision delayer and my recently acquired husband, with whom I do not yet live, is a pre-hoarder. That is, he has pretty good taste but becomes extremely attached to anything he takes in, and he doesn't see why he should stop acquiring things just because he doesn't need more. So if he likes it, he'll get it, but nothing ever goes out. We live about 10 blocks apart and thought we could wait until we retire in about 5 years to live together, because he is extremely allergic to my cats - meds don't help. But now we don't want to wait and are going to fix up his large garage for me and the cats to move into. Only he doesn't want to think about these decisions, and I can't make them. Getting a decorating buddy (design buddy in this case) is an idea I came up with too so glad to see someone else has it! I write a blog with a couple other librarians and just this week I started a series on books about organizing. One of my favorites is The Organizing Sourcebook by KatbyWaddill, partly because she says there's no perfectly organized, just good enough for how you live right now. I think that should be true of decorating, for many of us, too. I have read posts where people are obsessing about exactly the right shade of granite for the counter - but we are such a rest less culture,she's going to be freaking out over the right species of wood for butcher block in5 years.
